at people thinking the LSF will effect the price of the PF.

these are two totally different pieces that appeal to two totally different collectors. very few will be getting the LSF due to expense and display constraints. which will only push the original release higher imo.

Exactly, these lsfs aren't for your average collector. Not me, that's for sure, way too big.

Doom PF or Doom taking a dump owners are not worried at all...the LSF Doom or Shakespeare in the park will come and go just like most statue's but Doom PF will always be one of the best,if not the best

I wonder how heavy the LSF will be! lol. I've no room to put one but I'll MAKE room! He'd be awesome in the corner of the Living Room or a gaming room. Or even infront of the door as the first thing people see when they open the door. LoL!

I'm not worried at all about the LSF because it's not my cup of tea and I won't be buying it. I won't be buying any of the LSF line because I wouldn't be able to fit as many characters into my collection and display as I would want if I got only LSF scale. I'd be able to display maybe only 4-6 characters, whereas with the PFs I could do 20-30 in that same space. If i was a billionaire and could afford to build a display room the size of small museum then maybe...

Judging from the comments here in this thread some PF owners already seem shaken. They don't seem too happy a bigger and better Doom is on the way. Fact is once the LSF is out that will be the new Doom grail to most people. The PF owners are desprately fighting againt the inevitable even now. They just are not too happy to see a better version coming out. I don't have any stake in this. I have no plans to get either.

I really don't think so. I do know that some peeps who don't have the original Doom PF would like to see the price go down once the LSF gets release so they can buy it cheaper. I don't think this will ever happen. Look at the Hulk PF? Price keeps soaring after multiple releases of different Hulks.

You just can't beat the sculpt, paint & quality of these past statues. Like I'd said many times, these will never be replicated again. That is why they cost so much money.

Yeah cause all the newer released pieces of Hulk really pushed down the value of the original Hulk PF.......

Actually it seems each time another Hulk is released it only pushes up the value of the original version. Maybe the reason is that with each release it brings more people into the collecting community and that only increase the value of the early releases..

I purchased my Doom PF this year and if anything it has made me want the LSF even more! I really don't like to have more than one version of each character in my collection but in some circumstances i can make an exception to the rule and the Doom PF is certainly one of them. These 2 pieces will be renowned as being some of he best! The PF for being one of the best pound for pound statues ever made in regards to quality and the current value and the LSF which to me is already looking like THE BEST statue ever made to date!!! Can't wait for the pre order

Go find an owner of a '70 Boss 302 and explain to him how the 2012 Boss 302 makes his car less valuable. If you can find one that agrees I will give you a finder's fee for saving me tens of thousands of dollars.

I know when a new version comes out it lowers some value more less. But in this case it's not the same. Even the scales are aim towards different collectors. The LSF and PF will be just fine. But if a new PF of doom comes out then watch out old PF doom could be doom!

it won't happen because they don't make em like that anymore .... the detailing and paint are amazing. The throne is truly remarkable

The quality of doom is off the hook. Solid, detail, limitedvedition size, newer people picking it up can see the difference down to the box and the foam used for packing. Older stuff was all like this, it a shame they started cutting big corners, jacking prices all the while explaining that they are saving you shipping or dangle a 20 dollar credit to you after getting a defective piece, due to lack of quality and quality control. Trust me there used to be a bigger wow reaction than the griping you hear today when a piece lands. These early pieces are were its at. I understand someone in sideshows head quality dept recently lost his job. Maybe they're listening. Quit shipping out toys r us quality stuff like rhino. Keep it worth the price you're asking.
