Trust me there used to be a bigger wow reaction than the griping you hear today.

When I look at comments when Cap PF and Thor PF were released, I see plenty of griping. Cap with hot pants, Thor looks like a fat wrestler... blah blah. There is just more of it now as there are more collectors.

My wife always seems to laugh when friends look at my Thor. She thinks he looks ridiculous

The quality of doom is off the hook. Solid, detail, limitedvedition size, newer people picking it up can see the difference down to the box and the foam used for packing. Older stuff was all like this, it a shame they started cutting big corners, jacking prices all the while explaining that they are saving you shipping or dangle a 20 dollar credit to you after getting a defective piece, due to lack of quality and quality control. Trust me there used to be a bigger wow reaction than the griping you hear today when a piece lands. These early pieces are were its at. I understand someone in sideshows head quality dept recently lost his job. Maybe they're listening. Quit shipping out toys r us quality stuff like rhino. Keep it worth the price you're asking.

True

I wasn't collecting back when those came out but I am glad I spent what was needed to get Thor. I do plan on getting the original Cap PF too at some point. Lurtz and Spidey Comiquette are two others that cost me a chunk of change but well worth it. Doom isn't on my top hunt list but I would like one eventually.

True but the gripes tended to come before the piece shipped and stopped once i t did. Now its vice versa.. pretty sure that was me with the hot pants comment and I still stand by it..lol

If you think about it Thor pretty much looks like Fabio in aerobics gear..maybe she's right.

I know when a new version comes out it lowers some value more less. But in this case it's not the same. Even the scales are aim towards different collectors. The LSF and PF will be just fine. But if a new PF of doom comes out then watch out old PF doom could be doom!

Why must this arguement keep going on.....if there's one character you need to look at its Hulk, before each release of a new statue everyone sits on the sidelines (usually ones that don't own the original PF) and state how the original will fall in value. Well guess what it never has, it only keeps going up...

The only piece that's met that fate as far as i know is the original IM Com, but there are many reasons for that, the most prominent one being that the market was flooded with recasts and it totally destroyed consumer confidence of that piece. hell that one was selling around $1500 at one point and i just got mine a few months back for just over $500... ****ing recaster

Yeah I'm not in a position to be gambling that amount of money right now. I say the chances of this being legit is pretty low. Especially that he hasn't even put up actual pictures of it

Yeah same here. I try not collect villains but I would make an exception for Doom, especially at that price so far
