Wookster that would be fan-tas-tic!

We can sort out the postage, you can ship it by the slowest slow boat, cheapest method possible, but if the figs only cost $6 I'll come out ahead in any case.

(Man, I'm so old, I remember when the pound was 1.4 to the dollar, or thereabouts. It's been awhile since I've been to the UK...)

I'll go and see if they are still there on Monday, they were in the window display so a passing kid (or geek, like us) may have already jumped, but if they're still there consider them yours.

I haven't been to the US since 98 and that was just a one night stop over on the way to Mexico. I did spend a bit of time there in 87 though (I was going out with a Yank at the time) trans-Atlantic love affairs, not the greatest of ideas. I remember the pound was considered pretty strong back then, at about 1.9 to the pound, but now we've broke through the $2 mark, crazy!

Geeks? Us? Just because we are grown men playing with toys? :rotfl

(As long as my lovely wife doesn't care, I don't really worry about what anyone else thinks ...)

I think '98 or '99 was the last time I was in London. Don't remember the exchange rate then, but it sure wasn't 2:1! Of course, these days the US dollar is worth less than the Canadian loonie ...!

He is my 9th Doctor custom from Doctor Who. It has taken me awhile to assemble the necessary pieces to complete this figure, but I think the results are well worth the wait. Take a look for yourself. I will upgrade the pants later.

That's excellent Brad. Is that the head from the walkie talkie? I didn't know the sculpt was that good.

I need to gwt onw of those heads......
the 9th doctor was my first doctor.
where did you get the outfit, and what body is that?

Thanks Dave. The head is a resin cast from the walkie talkie. I had a friend of mine repaint it. The jacket is a modified Red Baron Jacket from In The Past Toys, painted black. The shirt was a khaki military v-neck dyed black from Dragon I believe. I picked it up at JoeCon last year. The boots are from AOD Ash and the pants are just some I had in a parts box. I hope to upgrade them soon. Oh and the body is the standard Sideshow Buck body. I am really pleased at how well it turned out, especially my friend's paint job.

Kudos on the Eccleston Doctor Brad, he was one of my favorites.

That robot from the Girl in the Fireplace looks amazing. The 5" dalek and cyberman doesn't look too bad either. PLUS the weeping angel and the face of boe also look amazing. I'm going to have to get me some of these.

This looks interesting

My girlfriend is getting me the playset for my birthday and I already have plans to totally cut it and put in real mesh floors, more lights, fix the doors, add more walls and wires, etc. It's a great playset but I want a mini console replica :lol

Sorry JD, I just sent you a PM, the figure set was gone, but I'll let you know if I see another.

Hey all you guys across the bay!!
If any of you happen to see a 12" Michael ballack from the Revell Kick-o-mania series I could really use the head. You can keep the body if it does you any good.
Any updates on Who sales would be appreciated so that maybe we over here might b able to work something out to get some of these rising [in price] figures.

I just picked up the OOD 1/6 figure from a local shop for $6.80 after tax :google

Have to say I'm really impressed, the paint work is lackluster... but clothing are well tailored and look nice and basebody is pretty good. Definitely worth what I paid and very impressive considering the MSRP was only $25.

They have any more/others?

Nah that was the only one... its been collecting dust for months. I almost bought it for $12 awhile back, but lucky me waiting even longer panned out.

They do have some other Who items (not 1/6), nothing discounted yet... but its only a matter of time. I don't think Dr. Who is too popular in Oklahoma :lol

Ok,thanks.
Please keep me in mind if anything else shows up in 1:6 that you don't need. I want to build my Who collection but prices and availability are somewhat prohibitive.
