I'm probobly going to need to shorten the neck a bit i think. if not, he will be... quite tall i think. the last thing i want is my doctor to suffer drom neca turtle neck.

Ahhh. oh well, i've already cut down the doctors nck, and started making adapters to make it fit a kai. Also, already ordered the kai.

I've found that the slim Dragon male body is perfect for my 10th Doc; the suit fits that perfectly :)

Can you show me a pic of the Dragon body you are using as I'm not familiar with the various different ones. I might end up using one as opposed to the Medicom as the hands that come with the loose Medicom bodies aren't posed in a way that will allow the sonic screwdriver to be held which is kind of a priority for a figure of The Doctor and I've just been looking at a set of hands with poseable fingers that fit a Dragon body on ebay.

Actualy, If you take the open hands, and add boiling water, you can ger any pose you could possibly want :)

A good point but I'm not very patient when it comes to doing stuff like that and would probably make a mess of it. Also I don't trust the plastic on the Medicom bodies,I cracked one of the joints on my spare one just reposing it so I'm not sure I want to risk anything else getting damaged.

Ahhh.. Medicom, Quite possibly the best designed 1/6 body on the market....

So long as it dosn't Break! :D

I 've had my Comic spidey shatter both his hips and his shoulder, and my Emo Peter parker shatter a shoulder.
Thankfully, I've gotten quite good at fixing them :)

I got my 12" Doctor early Saturday morning before 8am!
It came in less than a week and it was in mint condition!
When I have time I'll post a pic!
:chew

Umm for the record, David Tennant is not a short man. IMDb.com lists him as 6"1'. Just food for though.

Yep, the Dragon body is handy in the, erm, hand dept. in that there are several options from several makers. Mine is using a set from BBi with the cool ball jointed wrist which allows for a nice lot of posing.

That's DiD's Franz Fiegl's greatcoat which I've since ditched for their John Col(e)man one instead; better fit, less Nazi insignia. Needs a little bit of work though; extra buttons to add and a lapel to iron down...

Oh thats amazing! I've got to do that with my one as I hate the original body.

How easy was it tow transfer the head? I remember reading some time back that some found it really difficult to do.

Those glasses look great too. May I ask where you purchased them from?

Thanks for the info Nick,I think I'll be getting a Dragon body instead. I'd also like to know where you got the glasses from as they look really good.

Cheers :)

Yep, the head is a swine to get off; it's glued onto it's Dragon-like neck peg - after much 'cussing and the use of a screwdriver and a craft knife I finally managed to remove it (for once without loss of blood!). It probably would've been easier if I'd been dunking it in hot water first to soften everything up.

The glasses? They come courtesy of Kotobukyia. Bought mine from Hobbylink Japan...

Set 4, black iirc. As they're reasonably cheap I would advise getting a couple of packs as they're very fine metal and have a nasty habit of disappearing if you drop them on the floor (I swear my floor pixies could've opened an Opticians by now!).

the most fun was modifying and cutting dow the neck to make it fit a medi body. the epoxy is gonna be dry when i get home, and then it's repaint time :D
now i just need the glasses and coat. did you repaint yours any? he has much less of a "dear god it's full of stars/ I just saw the goatse man for the first time" expression than mine.

Cheers :)
