Sideshow has 2 Swords up for Pre-order. Look to be 1:1 scale. I just cant jump on these at the moment for the price. I did buy the miniature letter opener swords. But these are too much. Although they'll probably be rare and hard to find in the future.

I can't remember...

So we can only be a dude? I cant make a sexy female character to play as?

No, Hawk can be female.
(But she's more prone to mood swings and unexplained crying jags)
:nana:

How important do y'all think it is to play the first game in order to full enjoy this one?

Here's the response I gave to the same question about Mass Effect 2 also made by Bioware:
Do yourself a favor and play the first installment first.
Youre robbing yourself of a truly epic gaming experience if you dont.
Its like watching Empire Strikes Back with out seeing A new Hope first.
Why?
ME 2 will read your game save from the first game and carry over your decisions and consequences from the first.
Bioware also rewards you with more for importing into the second installment, with more credits that can give you more of an edge imo (Buy better weapons etc)
You'll make better informed choices in the second if you understand the background of the first.
Youll appreciate the advancement of the story in the second more as well as appreciate Biowares changes to the gui.

It remains to be seen if Dragon Age 2 will be as great a follow up as ME2 but the rumblings are promising.
DA2 will read your last save from DA as it did in the Mass Effect series so if you value continuity....
Some characters will also reappear in DA2 that were in the first installment as well so youre just a more informed player with the lore
etc etc.

You might also want to get the DA dlc expansion Awakenings as well. It furthers the story along. Return to Ostagar is best played before finishing the main DA story. Lelianas song wasnt that good imo and Witch Hunt while initially disappointing may prove to be more significant when DA2 comes out.

Demo is out today (Xbox, PS3, and PC)

I really like it. Things are much smoother and easier to use--without detracting from what was good about the first game. They didn't dumb it down, they just made things cleaner.

And the graphics are much improved as well, very noticeably. And for PC it's got special DirectX 11 features

Only thing that's really missing is the overhead view from the PC version of the first game, but that's ok

The demo was nice.
Everything seems to improved:Graphics,controls,inventory...
I chose the warrior class in DA and was happy with that but the rogue class got a huge makeover for this installment.
Its like a medieval jedi this time.
Cant wait.
