Looks cool but on Directx11 settings it's very slow. I have 4 GB RAM, core2quad 2,83 and 1 GB overclocked GTX 460.

But directx11 high settings slows my gameplay. I'm waiting the full version.

And hey; where's the isometric camera? We need long distance.

I didn't play Dragon Age Origins so I'm not that sure about the isometric camera. But in the demo you can actually zoom out using the mouse wheel and change your angle by right clicking n moving the mouse around.

After trying the demo I'm quite tempted to buy it now but am afraid that the game may run poorly.

The demo had lots of intermittent loading that irritates me.

I bought the first Dragon Age for the PC and either I suck or the game is hard because I keep dying. I don't remember having such difficulty with KOTOR or Mass Effect.

Demo is out today (Xbox, PS3, and PC)

I really like it. Things are much smoother and easier to use--without detracting from what was good about the first game. They didn't dumb it down, they just made things cleaner.

And the graphics are much improved as well, very noticeably. And for PC it's got special DirectX 11 features

Only thing that's really missing is the overhead view from the PC version of the first game, but that's ok

i've been wanting to play the 1st DAO for awhile but couldn't get past the graphics. got the new demo last night (PS3) and it looks much better. may get it for PC

The new interface and menu is absolute ____ though. I don't mind going for a new look, but I wasn't expecting something that terrible. :monkey4

The art design of the gui is little too futuristic looking,I wouldve preferred something more medieval.
But the implementation is fine.
In the heat of battle I dont want to wade through multiple screens to find what I need.
Everything seemed more accessible. Can you identify any loss of "depth" or info at this point?
I cant.

That graphics card is good, but not the most powerful--like my GTX 285 would be faster, but of course doesn't have DX11

Nah, I don't mind the way it works. It's very smooth, which is what I like. But it's just the look of it that completely turns me off. Like you said: Too futuristic. Too generic too, it could be from any (sci-fi) game.

Loved the demo and think I'm gonna have a blast with the full game.

Plus, as a red-blooded male, I'm affectionately gonna start calling this game "DD-ragon Age 2" from now on. :lol

Man, the girls in this game are all redonkulously top-heavy. Even Flemeth! :yess:

That's Bioware for you. All kidding aside, i heard they removed the Pause and fight strategically control mechanic from the game, and the console version borders on button mashing. any truth to this?

On the PC demo you can still pause & plan your attacks.
Not that sure about the console versions though.

Bored to tears with the demo. Quit a little over half way through. :lol

Played through the demo many times now, this is personally the most anticipated game for me this year as I loved the first one. Some of the changes they made seem good, while some changes does feel too dumped down. I actually like it in DA:O that you have to position the rogue behind the enemy for backstabs, that was the funnest thing for me maining as a rogue, now rogue just seems kind of generic, I really hope the full game will give us more variety perhaps in the later talent trees. Cant wait til the 8th!

:gah:
Lies and damnable lies!
(On the 360 anyway..)
Actually control over characters has increased.
For instance: It is now much easier to dodge Ogre charges, swings and tremor attacks. Especially if youre a Rogue class.
That use to be very frustrating in the first game especially when you saw it coming .
You can either use the joystick to move your character in real time, use the cross hair cursor to move the character in a turn or depending
on the class use "Evade" or make a particular attack move that would transport the character a predetermined distance.
There is button mashing in the form of hitting the "A" button to perform a basic attack. Such as a sword swing, arrow shot, or mage staff hit.
But this is actually more control and is in real time as opposed to the turn based system from the first game.
The game still has predetermined "actions" you can assign other party members. Mastering these always makes for better party control.

And you can definitely still pause the game at any time to setup commands

Again, the only thing I've noticed as far as a feature that's removed, is the overhead view on the PC version

Just picked these up.

They can be found all over, the Bioware site has them, ebay, amazon.com. Game stores may have them. I think DC Direct makes them. These 4 are series 1. Hope they make more.
