I have this on order, really wondering If I should keep it...Never finished the first one, but this one looks soo much better....

mine arrived today...i'm not ready though, it'll have to wait until i'm done with ds2.

They took out the quick weapon swap option out.
Not happy at all about that.

I have both a PS3 and 360 copy... debating on which I should open and which I should return. O_O

PC is the only way to go--runs better than the demo too, there were some weird loading times and those are gone. I really like how the combat feels. Although I am a bit concerned about length, the game is only like 5GB which isn't that big these days.

PC isn't an option for me, because my PC is nearing 6 years old. :slap:cuckoo:

I bought D2 with the book, but I still have Awakenings sitting here. I also replayed Origins with all the DLC, only have the the Witch Hunt board left, then off to Awakenings then DA 2. Can't wait to try the new one out.

Finally started playing DA2 (ended up opening the PS3 version since I have a DA:O save and Dead Space 2 save on the system), and it's kind of a mixed bag for me at the moment. I'm not really liking the X button mashing for the standard attacks: I enjoyed the battle system for the original game, and the action oriented attack system doesn't seem to mesh well with the other input skills that function the same way as the first game.

I'm only about 4 hours or so into the game, so hopefully it'll get more acclimated to it. I mean, it's not a bad system, but it does feel weird when I'm hacking and slashing at enemies with X, then access that menu wheel to choose something like Shield Bash and wait for the character to perform the skill.

Thought I'd check this game out. The price was right and the sequel's coming out soonish. I know it's a letdown from the first one but hey the first one was pretty great.

Any advice from people who have played whether female character or male is the way to go?

Holy thread resurrection! :lol

I loved both DA Origins and DA2. I played as a male character in both games. Gender only affects romance scenarios for the most part if I remember correctly and you can romance opposite and same sex depending on your preference.

I remember that I always kept Isabella in my active group at all times because of the conversations. She is just eye candy to me with her personality and um looks. >_>

I liked Isabella's sayings. I kept the mage guy with me cause he was getting it on with my Hawke and I had the dwarf usually as the third. Or the redhead woman

Thanks for the info! I remember playing the Mass Effect trilogy and then going back and playing number three a second time with a Fem Shep (I had sold the others awhile before) and wishing I had played with her all along as she was so badass.
