Awesome film! I watched this a few days ago and it instantly became one of my favorite movies!

I've noticed RB doing that with about all of their rentals now. I like the making-of Docs as much as the film sometimes but what do you expect for $1.69 or what ever it is now... Still sucks though.
Actually, only $1! :yess:

I'll take it! :lol

What did you expect it to be like Fast & Furious or Transformers?
Seriously. There was a fair amount of action here, but in fairness, it wasn't an over the top, seizure-inducing videogame on the order of those Transformer abominations.

Could've used Steven Seagal breaking some _____es wrists and throwing some mofos through some plate glass windows, though. That would have made this movie Oscar material, for sure.

I don't know...maybe more than a five minute car scene after the pawn shop robbery?:pfft:

Maybe Michael Bay could of made a guest appearance in this scene and made the road blow up and then Ryan Gosling pops out the window with double uzis and drives the car with his feet while shooting at the other car. Then he has a slow motion sex scene that is meaningless to the plot.

Would that of been a more acceptable action scene for you? :slap

I liked it. But the hype definitely got me this time. I try not to let my expectations up, but it snuck in this time.

I bet I will like it more if I see it again down the road. I don't mean any offense but the main character came off autistic or something. socially awkward but really talented at one thing. I don't know if thats what the point was, but thats all I could help but to think. especially since he had a bond with the little boy and became so awesomely violent so quickly.

Saw this last night and loved it......just an excellent movie....character of Driver (the main dude) caught me off guard, and the action, while minimal, is fantastic when it does happen. Not for people with ADD

Yeah.

The character was obviously supposed to be socially awkward and only really comfortable in that which involves his talent until he met the girl.

As for being a psychopath well.. can you really blame him? :lol

Exactly like DeNiro in Taxi Driver :lecture

I know I'm late to the party but I just watched this on Blu-ray. (I bought it as a blind buy). Amazing movie! I love the soundtrack and am listening to the music over and over, lol.

I've still got the soundtrack on my playlist. Compliments the movie so well. :rock

Just picked up Drive on DVD. I Didn't think the Blu-Ray was worth the extra 8 dollars lol.

The slowness of this movie was amazing. A movie that BREATHS. Loved every second of it. Every bit of violence was hard hitting, and intense.

It's a movie made for Blu Ray. I need to pick it up. I could not watch it any other way.

When I rented DRIVE I watched it on Blu-ray. But now that I have it on DVD I have to say the DVD quality is still very good and comparable to the BR.
