I am not sure about that.

The author feels he has more to tell and if the same director is involved I think it can only be a good thing.

I agree it is a great stand alone movie however that does not mean a sequel wouldn't be good.

If the same author has more to tell then I would be interested to see Refn put that on the screen for us is all :dunno

I loved Drive, but please god no sequel, especially considering the way it ended, it would be like doing another season of the sopranos after the way the final episode ended.

:exactly:

Well said, somethings just need to be left alone and not dragged out until the point where it's like "Okay, this is getting stupid."

Next thing you know, Drive is PG-13 with Gosling dropping cheesy lines like "Nice coat" or "Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall" :lol

I just saw this for the first time. I enjoyed it. Nice seeing Albert Brooks being something other than his usual character in all his comedic films. I didn't think it was the greatest movie of all times as is the impression I got from some on the boards, but definitely enjoyable. Main character is a bit of a psychopath.

I rented it from Redbox, and this version is bare bones as ____. Main menu has the following options: Play movie, Subtitles, Previews

Drive was probably my second favorite film from last year. It deserved to be on the list for Best Picture at the Oscars and I cannot understand why its not.

It wasn't made by Pixar, directed by Ron Howard and had Meryl Streep or George Clooney in it.

I gave it a 8/10 myself.

I just picked this up on blu yesterday. Haven't seen it yet, but it was either this or The Thing (2011). I think I made the right choice already.

I've noticed RB doing that with about all of their rentals now. I like the making-of Docs as much as the film sometimes but what do you expect for $1.69 or what ever it is now... Still sucks though.

Also - I hope the road that Transformers took does not become the next trend. Release the film only on DVD and BR then a few months later the special-extra-awesome-limited-time-only-charge-you-another-$30-to-see-the-normal-extras-edition. :pfft:

At least in the case of the Transformers double dip it was already announced that the special edition would be coming out a couple months later so people could wait for it if they wanted it. They also gave a $10 off coupon for the special edition in with the bare bones release.

Pretty sure Refn said he wanted to do a Queen edition to be released later in the year before this hit the shops this week.

What did you expect it to be like Fast & Furious or Transformers?
