They are the TTM-21 arms (that's the base body). You're probably right about the 20s, though I think I've invested about as much into this figure as I'm going to. Repainting the hair a bit and re-dyeing the shirt is probably all I'm going to do to him at this point.

I don't think I posted my Dude and WIP Walter here:

Are those original RM sunglasses or 3rd party? I'm trying to find a pair that looks good on the Dude I am putting together.

Dude... the FS thread is full with people selling their Rainman "grails". Hmmmmm.... so much for the hardcore Rainman fans that swore Rainman til the end. :dunno

Unless something crazy happens, it will be one of the last figures I sell. But I'm a huge Lebowski fan. I do think Rainman's brand seems to have lost some of its luster recently, and so his figures have come up for sale at a much greater rate than I ever noticed in the past. My guess is its a combination of Iminime making cheaper figures from Rainman-type franchises with more accurate sculpts, and his tailor being used for lots of side projects, which means that the top notch tailoring that he used to monopolize here is now being spread around. Too bad IMO, because there are still very few out there that can hope to rival what he does well. But there are very few Rainman collectors I've noticed here that haven't put up some of his stuff for sale at some point.

Those are the originals, as mine is the full set.

I don't understand this comment. I recently bought the Dude head directly from rainman, to go with a set of Moe clothes. And now I am trying to source the accessories.

Cool pic Edgar :clap

I agree, he's not the end all be all in the full set custom world anymore. Things are changing and there are options out there now. Still, with all the great talent on this forum, I can't name one artist that tops him in the accessory department.

As far as the flood of his stuff on the market, from what I see it's mainly the PF boys and the GBU trio and there are obvious reasons for this. As far as his other pieces, we're seeing the occasional one pop up here, same as usual.

I really think people that sell the PF set are gonna end up SERIOUSLY regretting it. the more I have the two, FS Vince especially, the more impressed I am. Both in my opinion, top the entire Fight Club Series, the Dude, Alex, and Plainview. I do own all those full sets as well, but the PF boys pop off my shelf like few others in my collection do!

Robbie :wave

Don't get me wrong I love what RM does but how many times has Robbie now come to the rescue with set changing accessories? The quality he puts out is unrivalled in my opinion.

They don't edge out Alex & Plainview in my book but I'm with ya. I have them and although I wish certain aspects were better about them, I see no reason to sell them. They are not my favorite RM pieces but they have a deserving spot in my collection.

Robbie is a master, there is no doubt about it, but Rainman is his inspiration. After seeing Mags X-1 up close and personal, I have no doubts that on the accessory front, there's nothing that he can't do to the highest level (much like Robbie). Robbie has come to the rescue several times to fill in the blanks, but it's not because Rainman couldn't... it's because he didn't want to :lol

I also really like my PF guys. The most serious drawback to those as I see it is Jules's body, and that's easy enough to fix. The same criticisms I had early on still apply--they're fairly basic characters from a clothing/accessory standpoint--but if you're talking '90s film, it doesn't get much more important than those guys. And the suits are pure class, while the sculpts are very nice overall--better than anything else I've seen regarding those guys.

Speaking of time periods, I wish Rainman would do more '80s stuff, because his releases have skirted around that decade.

My initial likes and nits haven't changed from day 1 either. If anything they grew on me a bit and I appreciate them more than at first.

Actually, the one big turn around to me was the EB body. It doesn't work for the suit IMO but it can't get any better for the dork clothes. It actually made Jules’ D.C. pointless to pretty damn cool IMO. Planned that way? No. Freak luck? Yes. But it worked out beautifully

As long as the conversation has shifted to include the PF guys, let me ask you experts - I recently obtained the H&C sets (just the suits) and am happy to have them. So I am looking for bodies for Vince & Jules - recommendations?

I second that formula. The TTM21 is what Vince's suit was tailored for so that's pretty much the best bet for him. I'm also using a TTM01 with long foot pegs for Jules and I think it's perfect, but those are usually expensive and hard to come by; but if you can swing one I’d say it’s worth it

... am I the only guy that prefers the EB body on Jules? I never realy got why everyone was so unsatisfied with the tailoring, I thought it was top knotch and differentiates the two guy's builds perfectly
