You can see the "weight" of the hair in the curvature and flow of the sculpting (if that makes any sense), it really is something else.

Definitely know what you mean. It looks "flowing" (insert Pantene jingle here), and looks like a head full of long hair, not a hair-shaped hat/helmet that can happen with long 1/6 hair.

Yes bud fullsets go up first then a few days later to a week you can get a head and clothes set if that would help you more like you say
