I was on the fence about it because of the price. But I was at my buddy ShortRound's house yesterday having a nice chat about 1/6 and he convinced me to get one. I mean, I just love the character and the movie so much, I couldn't pass on it. Plus, Jeff Bridges is the man.

The thing that worries me is that if Rainman makes Alex Delarge next, I just won't be able to pass. That would be 2 Rainman figures in a row and my wallet is already screaming for help with the Kato Joker and Bruce Wayne projects, Fluffly the crate monster and Nicholson Joker by Betomatali, etc., etc. Arrrghhh..... HELP!

What do you guys think about the Studio DF paint job. I really think they need to work on it. The face looks good, nice skin tone but the hair is really dark, looks black, and with really bad blond highlights, that looked sloped on. I am sure that this is just a sample, but I really hope The Dude doesnt look like this. I am sure it wont, their Dexter and Oldman are beautiful.

Got a studio DF tyler when I bought my first rainman set, the paint is flat and looks hideous. Far from Rainman's paint job. I have the comparison pics:

I sent mine as gift, as that would mean lower fees for him. But he doesnt really mind actually. Like he have already said a while back, hes real passion in doing these is for the fans; not for the money.

I ordered the head sculpt only last night. I was planning on getting the clothing set at first, but then I decided against it because I prefer the bathrobe version of the dude from the begining of the movie. The most difficult part about this attire would be to locate accurate 1/6 sandals. Everything else seems fairly doable.
