Judging by the folds in Duke's tank from the preview photo, there definitely seems to be some torque to his torso. He might be doing that pose or something similar.

It's most likely based on his current DNF look.

I loved Duke Nukem 3D and I liked DNF. No it wasn't great thanks to it's messed up development.

The IP seems to be in good hands and I'm really looking forward to what Gearbox is planning for their own Duke game. DNF is not a good example of what to expect since most of it was already done before Gearbox bought the IP and they made very minimal, aesthetic changes to it instead letting Triptych Games (ex-3DR employees) finish what they started.

Totally unexpected but if it's a nice statue and not too pricey I might buy it.

I had a great time on Duke 3D back in 95.
This statue must come with a voice chip that says "come get some" "what are you waiting for? Christmas?" "aaaah much better" "I'm here to kick ass and chew bubblegum"

athough i'll propably not going to buy this i'm still pretty excited to see the full reveal tonight

Am I the only one who thought "holy ____ing s__t" when I saw the preview?

Come on, guys! Duke Nukem's a fun property with some great character designs. Admittedly, the latest game was nothing more than a problematic nostalgia-fest, but figures and/or statues of Duke and the alien baddies would look quite cool on display. I wish NECA would've given us an Octabrain or Pigcop to go with last year's Nukem. It's one of the few best figures they've ever made.

A base like this would be killer:

Having that said, this couldn't have come at a worse time. I love Duke, but Enterbay, Sideshow, and Hot Toys are firing on all cylinders this summer. Luckily, based on everyone's responses on this thread, I have a feeling Dukerino here will stick around long enough for me to nab him -- maybe even with a giftcard code. :rock

^^Basically this.

Moore Creations did this statue like more then 15 years ago. Actually its what got me into collecting when I was like 10.

While not a piece or property I'm interested in... still a well done statue and it's always good in my book for Sideshow to expand into oddball licenses.

Back in the day Sideshow produced great figures from a lot lines people would scoff at today. Good to see them going back to their roots from time to time.
