Well guys I just checked my Batman again and at the left arm (It is at the same place like at Vodoun's Batman) a small bit of oil has started to appering and if I wipe it down than it come back almost immediately. Mine is from the DCD batch 100% and I have it almost about a month. The nightmare is starting again....:gah::monkey2

Hot Toys ruined a great figure again...I am very angry right now...

This was why I said regardless of the replacement bodies it still comes from the same place. Even though some seem to think the DCD box run was made in a special place. All I can suggest is don't ever let it get wet for long periods. Letting it shine up is when it damages itself.

Wedge some flat bits of kleenex in below the shoulder pads as a preventive measure. The last thing you want to do is end up the way my body that was sent back where the kevlar pattern went all wrinkly with bubbles. At least when the kleenex is in below any excess will just absorb it. Unfortunately the exposed areas you have to physically wipe.

I just can't belive this happening. It is such a nice looking figure. The oil is at a place where i have a very hard time wipe it down. Maybe I will brake down and trade my Batman for something else. I just don't want a figure wich will rot away...what are Hot Toys thinking?

I'm guessing they really never found out how to perfect thermoplastic rubber curing.

Serves all you douches who bragged about waiting for the DCD batches right.
Karma baby... K-A-R-M-A!

For the innocents who got ____ed over by HotToys like the rest of us, one word: REFUND! Get one while you still can and get the first version of the new suit. It's not as detailed but it'll last a damn sight longer than this decomposing POS. Looks like getting a replacement will just give you more of the same.

Why wouldn't the first one decompose? I don't own it, but is it made from different materials??

The black trim around the kevlar plate below and outside of the shoulder. You can't miss it. If it's dry it hasn't started yet. If it's going jet black well there you go. It's only in little sections it shows up on the trim.

Maybe but than Why release it again after all the mess they made with the DX Batman...?

I guess as they say in software development. They never beta tested it properly. The smart thing to do would have made it out of plastic as well. Rubber for that part makes no difference. You can't pose it.

Just for $#its and giggles I pulled my bicep armor off a week ago when this started cropping up. I'm going to keep it off a while and see what happens. For the record, mine is from the DCD batch from gohastings. Ill let you know if mine starts to leak.

Mine is still minty fresh.....

It's coming though....I just know it....:gah: :monkey2 :gah:

Well this sucks. Im getting my replacement today for a broke arm from the DC batch. My buddy has the DC batch too and will ask him to check for oil. His has been on display for 3 weeks. Not sure I should even open my replacement :(
I wont want this figure if it leaks :wave

What's interesting to me though is that its happening once the figure is being displayed no? Not while its in the box?

Nah, not really surprising to me.

Think of the friction involved when he's being posed and played with.

Chemical reaction, heat being created with the movement and bending of his arms.

In the box....he's not moving.

Mine hasn't been in the box since my replacements were returned and are still sitting on my desk with no movement. Arms are all relaxed.

I got it back on the 11th of June, no oil appearing until 21st of June. Still haven't boxed them up.

Only shows up in small sections of the trim.

The suit was designed and created through an entirely different process than the DX02 suit. The DX02 suit had to go through a curing process of which HT has clearly failed in letting it sit long enough in their eagerness to meet deadlines and grab collector cash.
