Has your DX02 shown signs of residue buildup in the abdominal area?

The reason why the old bodies were sent back is so you can't salvage a truetype out of it. They slip on new rubber.

I understand that, what I'm asking is do you know for certain that they replaced the whole rubber suit, or even just the top part, in the replacement figures.
Because it is possible with particular solvents to un-glue things without damaging plastic.
Again, I'm not trying to pick a fight, I'm just wondering if you know with certainty what the process involved with the replacement figures was. Because it does seem unusual that those who received DCD shipments don't seem to be having this problem, unless I missed it somewhere.

Is there anyone who received a DCD shipment having this problem?

Okay, just got my DX02 Bats today, and now I am worried. I know I will get blasted, but I have read now for 15 minutes and cannot find a description of what I need to know. Two questions:

How can I tell if I got a DCD/ plastic replacement part figure?

What signs should I be looking for to determine if I have the residue/oil problem?

Thanks for any help in advance.

:gah::gah::gah:

Can anyone clue me in? the abdominal area is hard and stiff not very flexible which makes me think 3rd batch. found a little dot of oil on the biceps.

Underneath the abdominal area is completely furbar

No clue. But I do think the replacement bodies and the DCD bodies may be different... time will tell.

omg what is all this mass panic and random questioning?

If yours is leaking oil from the abs they will be covered in liquid - wen u rub your finger on it it will wipe away they slowly leak back - if u dont have oily abs it looks dry

Are the V1 suits the same design?? And are they leaking???

What?!

Well it certainly wasn't mine. I just don't know but think about it... the last figures the rubber was all molded into one piece to the silver sections. Nearly everyone spotted and commented on the new silver. I never got the same shirt and pants back or chest piece... and the majority that sent theirs back had wet/glistening abs and bicep plates plus if you dried them they would be wet within a few hours. Same biceps even went like a shriveling effect after it dried out.

As I said when I got my bodies back, there was no marks, dents, finger marks or any signs of used rubber. Even the bicep plates were like as if you unboxed the figure for the very first time as well as the new smell of rubber. Everything was so smooth and clean. I thoroughly examined it before I put it back together. As I has said numerous times, the biceps stayed dry for well over a week until just last weekend or Monday, then small parts little sections of the black trim on the biceps started to darken. Not all of it like the last batches. The last batches the whole plate(s) ended up oily. The kevlar decal pattern remains dry, except the black trim.

Why would they recycle them? it would have been wet by the time I received it. Unless the process for the rubber went wrong again for the bicep plates.

All I'm asking is the Version 1 batman , non DX. Was the suit the same suit as the DX and did that suit have any problems leaking.

the v1 and the dx is totally different. different style, different materials and with the dx you'll get oil for free. v1 does not have the oil-error.

So whats my case of action? Seller? HT themselfs? both?

Can't believe mines that fubar :/

If you bought it from China, I think you got screwed. The seller lied unless they received the DCD batch which would seem unlikely being that is was a North America release.
Also...so far...seems like only people with replacement has the oil problem. Lets wait till we hear from some poeple that has the DCD release chime in to see if they have the oil. So far..no one from the DCD has the oil.

I just bought mine from a US retailer (comic shop) who got them from Diamond. Box has DC direct logo on it.

I'm hoping it comes in clean.

No problems with mine (so far). The box has a DC logo in the lower right. The box has a sticker on the bottom with a number 81006701, which also matches (81006701 under the barcode number 7 61941 29099 7) the brown cardboard shipping box it came in.

Not really guy has 100% feedback with 1000's of transactions am very sure I can get a refund if not there is enough bloody damage under the shirt to raise an issue with ebay.

Problem is I don't want a refund I want an awesome batman. So I Think i contact the seller see if he can get me a replacement body

Better picture in daylight

As you can see oily abs (which are hard might I add) dunno if this is due to all the leaking the whole bottom area is hard) then underneath its just a complete mess

can somebody post a pic of the shipping box of the good batch (dcd)
label that everybody is talking about. after reading alot of post, there is still alot of members asking the same questions about how they know if there getting it from the new batch.

bigpig, thats worrying. I see yours even has the clear plastic divider in below and it has still done this to the pants... thats the worst melted pants I have seen yet.

What does it feel like, is it soft and gooey? the pants mess, is there any heat at all?

:gah:

I cant see any plastic divider at all that black part showing though is the truetype the rubber has started to fold over and make its way down trying to escape!!

This must be the second batch but whats putting me off is the bottom 2abs and bottom of the ab area is very hard when I tap it with my figure nail its makes a loud noise top two very soft noise.

The no flex at all around the edges of the bottom of the abdominal area feels like a hard firm edge

Not sure what you mean by heat

Ah, well the way your photos had taken it... it had fooled me in thinking it was the clear plastic divider. If there isn't one well yes that is indeed the 2nd batch. The figure replacements or DCD batch all part of the same run from end of April comes with a plastic divider in below the suit to stop the chemical reaction you're seeing.

I just assumed the melted part might have had some heat from melting. I just wasn't sure. Is it just gooey that rippled part thats melted on the pants or has it gone hard?

The reason the abs has went hard it's not plastic this oil when it seeps not only deteriorates the rubber but stiffens it as well. Plus all batch 1's and 2's 98% of them all oiled on the 2 lower abs. It's almost like an acid to the rubber itself if it stays wet.

I had to send mine back to Hot Toys directly because of it as well as the damage to the biceps. Has your biceps oiled up badly and bubbles or blistering/shriveling on the kevlar plates below the shoulders?
