Is it a good idea to put varnish on these?? Lets say that its not a few isolated cases and its a problem like the DX. If theres a recall, maybe HT and SST wont accept a return because of the varnish. just my 2 cents.

Let's face it - it's really your nail polish remover.
I can't believe you guys are still complaining about this, whatever happened to enjoying your figures? This figure was a week ago (and for me still) one of, if not the best, batman figure ever made. Now all of a sudden when a few people get it in hand, it becomes terrible.
Come on guys, lets have some common sense here.
Maybe if this was the 80's again. Oh no, wait, that was eye make-up.

UB Assinine would work best in this case.
Let us know if anything else shows up. I'll do the same.
The Batman Professor has used 303 on his Batman figures for years and they are all like new without any issues at all, keeping them all like new. 100% success rate. Therefore mine was an educated speculation. Unless someone has tried this and failed, there is no reason to believe it can't work.
No offense to TBP, but I don't think I'd even consider it unless it was more than a single person confirming it worked.
I hear what you are saying, but I have never had any negative effects from using a quality rubber protectant on any type of rubber, while I have had rubber deteriorate without any. With this oil issue, the odds of it happening to anyone are greater than any danger from using a protectant IMO. Basically, I would have much more confidence in using it than not, to ensure that it has no problems. Obviously, no one will really know until they try. There should be some people to test it. Get two figures and try it on one, and leave the other untouched as a control under the same conditions and see what happens.
I think Hot Toys should try silicone, like RealDoll uses. I doubt they have any oil leakage issues. I don't see why it wouldn't work here.
