Stop this madness.

What happened to this board? I thought it was just a UK thing where they saw the worst in everything as well as being so critical about everything and endless fault finding. What can I find next to pick apart and moan about.

This place is no longer feeling like a place where collectors unite. It's already feeling like every other normal forum now.

Just reading through from where I left off this morning and I'm amazed that some people are impossibly difficult to reason with on a simple "case and point", "cut and dry" scenario.

We've got pics of a defective product from several sources. We've got beyond reasonble conern expressed by others about possible leaks on their figures. We've got a blowoff email response from HT to Rory who has not 1 but 2 defective units. And yet some die hards still persist with "Soooo?? .. I still want it." :thud: THAT bad?!

Hot toys will never get the message and will continue to produce highly expensive, highly defective POS. and the hobby will suffer.

I did miss rorys post.....AS far as know only heard a couple people but didnt know of other product defects ..I am willing to write call sideshow hot toys about other's situation...I think may start being more active on the face book page about this and if are unresponsive to us then once again all can do is stop buying and let other's know how little the company wont help....I would like to know if reason wont help is because maybe didnt buy directly and outside the warranty coverage....again I am a new collector but it's 2012 and we have more online resources to help each other out on these issues and should not be getting away with ripping us off ...this issue is icey because they do and have replaced defects before with no problem on my cap shield or other's bat broken ankle ..Again its not a good business plan for hot toys too mess with the hand that feeds them.......collectors with defects should spam the hell out facebook with complaints any may have UNTIL action is taken...FIGHT the power isnt just A SLOGAN......or ANTHRAX song.......

Yup. This is hardly an old issue. The best bet, and only if you have the figure, would be to take shots of the damage and literally post them daily on Hot Toys' Facebook page. You'll get bombarded by the polesquatters there, harder and with more expletives than here, but eventually a rep will contact you and handle you away from everybody else where they can get you to stop, potentially at least make you think they're dealing with you, and pretend like it never happened while you wait a few weeks for a response, and then if agreed, a month or two for the replacement body.

V,
My complaints are to stir the pot to get board members to react and pass on info.
The same thing happend with the DX and ONLY after complaints did HT act. If this is the same, we cant be complacent and just accept anything they produce and be blind fan boys. If we do this, all we do is send HT the message that its ok to screw us and their QC will only get worse. Sorry if you think this is ultra critical on the part of some of us.

Some enterprising customizer should try and make a new suit... They could potentially make a killing if it looked good.... Maybe pieces over a wetsuit like had been mentioned earlier in this thread. If I had the skill I'd sure try. I need to check my Bat's when i get home.... though I'm afraid to now...:(

Faults, QC are one thing. It's another when I've seen over the years some people just genuinely endlessly pick things apart even when it's not faulty.

I'm stilling waiting for my Keaton Batman from BBTS. I'm going to keep my PO. This figure is to nice to cancel. I'm not saying this issue doesn't concern me.
