Yeah the exploded t1000 is not a likely hot toys mms line canitdate, but they really need to put the t800 endo up for preorder already, Thats my most wanted terminator piece.

The T1 T-800 is probably the best one overall I'd say followed by the T-1000.

See if you own the T1 T800 is there a need to own this one? That is what is in my mind right now. I already have a Terminator represented in my collection. Do I need another Arnold!!

Well the cool thing about the existing T-800s that HT have put out is that they both look very different with completely different costumes, different hairstyles and different weapons. So from just the visual POV alone I don't see a harm in having both the T1 and T2. They'll look different enough on a shelf if you're not a completist and only want certain key figures representing the franchise.

there is only interest.

There are plenty of T800s to choose from.

The HT original BD T800 (no Arnold likeness)
HT T2 T800
HT T1 T800/w alternate head (most are using it for Police Shoot Out Customs
HT DX T2 T800 (still taking pre-orders I think)

Sideshow Toys T2 T800

McFarlane (made a bunch)

Kenner made a whole series from T2 in the 80's

There are Minimates and Kubricks.

If you want a Terminator T800 there are plenty in different sizes, styles, and prices; it's just what you like and want you want to pay for them.

Personally, I have all the Kenner figures from the 80's, a few older McFarlanes and all the Hot Toys (including a Police shoot out custom), but not the original BD T800. It 's too expensive and I don't like the way it looks anyway. I also have all T800 endoskeletons. Now as for the 1/4 scale, I'm going to stick to 1/6 scale and pass on all those. I'm still waiting on a John Conner from T2, and a BD T800 from T2; and I'm not just talking about a hole you can open up in his head.

Yes.

They're both different characters. The original 1984 T-800 is a villain with a specific look and the T2 Uncle Bob is a hero with a specific look. That's a reason to have another.


Now if you're only looking to represent one Arnold portraying the T-800, then no, I guess you wouldn't.

Odd that SS didn't have this in the "next 30 days" section (unless I missed it) but at least 2 other retailers have this in their coming soon sections...did someone not get the memo??

Reminds me of the noise the rotating light on the HT Powerloader makes. Cool feature, annoying sound.
