1/6 Kyle Reese and Police Shootout T-800 are what I want the most.

The above is the only pic in that whole set where I think the head looks good. Sad to say.

And here^ sunglasses hair. DX08 Joker has hat-hair, this guy gets sunglasses hair.

Since this version of T-800, if being accurate, shouldn't even be wearing sunglasses (which would also hide and render the PERS moot) they should not have bothered including them and sculpting the hair so as they would fit. The hair looks ridiculous in the above pic. I could accept it on MMS117 but here the overt tightness to the head on the sides seems exacerbated even more still by the way the hair on the back of his head (seen below his ear) kicks out the way it does. It ends up looking like some miniature mullet. This was very poorly done IMO. All for the use of an accessory that wasn't needed with this figure and in fact should have been left exclusive to MMS117 along with the shotgun IMO.

I can accept this headsculpt insofar as I accept the MMS117 one but I can't deny it is very disappointing. Its got the same problems plus new ones.

On the proportions issue - yeah, they say its improved but it doesn't seem apparent in those pics. The head still looks too small compared to the body for T2 Arnie.

My final complaint is the grenades are too small, as we kinda predicted they would be in previous discussions. They scaled them to fit the M79 it seems and not to reflect how big they actually were in the film.

Now Butters and Hex, coz I just know you guys are going to happen to log on after I make a post that exemplifies completely the ideas you've had about me in the past - just know I've actually been one of the most positive commentators on this figure.

He shouldn't even come with sunglasses or a shotgun. They could have easily filled those places with an axe, an endo arm and/or computer chip in the Cyberdyne containers or the gas grenade launcher.

I missed out on the 1st one, I'll pick this one up because the 1st ones prices are a high. but agree with the majority they should of had a damaged head, chest and arm with this one.
This reminds me of Dragon models they would make a figure basic , then next figure add more accessories and then the third figure add more. You would have to buy parts from the other releases to have him fully equipped.

HA Ha HA, so much for the guys wanting $400 plus for the first T2 T800. Now everyone can just buy the new one and get everything it has and more.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - DX T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

I'm starting to think that the lack of accessories/features on this version of the T-800 might be due to Hot Toys having too many releases all at once. They're announcing new figures every week, so their development staff must be under a large amount external pressure to get everything done.

As much as I'd like a second head-sculpt for this figure, I don't believe that it's realistic, with all of the Avengers, Dark Knight, and whatever other figures that they have planned for this year. This T-800 is probably as good as it will ever get, and Hot Toys will be too busy developing their next release to give a ____ about this one.

On that note, compared to this year, 2011 started off extremely slow for Hot Toys. So, unfortunately, we probably won't receive the same amount of treatment that we got for Battle Suit Jill Valentine.

I already have the first release of this guy which makes it an EASY pass. Great for those of you who missed out on the original though. He is my fav of all my 1/6 figures! Head sculpt on this new one isn't as good as the original either. IMHO

Well not a black shirt, roses, a rosebox, an endo arm, multiple clean hands and a better head.

More or less.. Original will always be more valuable. Less made and better HS.

Absolutely, and pushing a revised body. The marketing of this DX is focused on EB. What'd people say was better on EB, the leather, the body shape and size and the portrait and those are focal points here, all fails too.

Holy sheet, Maulfan just said "fail". That's not a term I hear him use loosely.

Why is the jacket a fail?

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - DX T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

Are you ordering this A-Dev?

I'm a sucker for any Terminator action figure so yes I will. Its not going to be the most exciting one obviously since I pretty much have all this already. I'm hoping the criticism gets to them and they do something about that head at least, back to the drawing board completely ideally. Probably the thing I'm most excited about here is the chip-removal aspect which most people are going 'WTF' at!

He shouldn't even come with sunglasses or a shotgun. They could have easily filled those places with an axe, an endo arm and/or computer chip in the Cyberdyne containers or the gas grenade launcher.

Absolutely. Sunglasses and shotgun should have been exclusive to the biker figure. This is a Cyberdyne T-800 dammit, make it purely Cyberdyne. Those suggestions would be ideal accessory replacements.

In general, re-releases tend to bring down the prices of the originals. In the end, the only value that the original releases will retain above MSRP, is sentimental value. I know this because I've been burned a few times... :monkey2
