Thats a nice video, I like the pulling the gun from the waistband pose he used, very nice. Also that cyberdine diorama posted a page or so back looks awesome!!!

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

I was just watching True Lies and I couldn't help but think of the DX10 sculpt during the majority of the movie. HT really got the shape of Arnold's face right. Now, if only it had that textured look that HT's previous sculpts had, it would be at a whole other level of awesome.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

paint is the problem of this sculpt. not just texture but different shadows as well.
it looks perfect with some light and dumb with another angle of light => poorly painted (no painted "shadows" for displaying in soft light).
he is sculpted much older than T1 (i checked), yet he looks younger due to plain face color and nothing else.
i hope they consider this mistake while working on t1.

p.s. I WON TAMIYA I WON TAMIYA I WON TAMIYA

Awesome congrats on the Tamiya. I forgot, did you say it was assembled or are you gonna have to do build and paint it?

Also yeah you're right, this sculpt is a bit of a paradox. The wrinkles are there but he does admittedly manage to look too young in spite of them. So many people say it that really there has to be something in it. Its the lack of texture on the skin overall and the paint. I'm sure the PERS eyes also play into it.

thanks! i never said it, previous time it couldn't be sent to me, i hope now it can )
unassembled (i hope there is no problem with assembling, why should it be), blue one (still don't know how to make it black but that's another problem) :)
also took two gas masks by your advice with a hope to turn them into saddle bags. cheapest variant.

I will say this, your right when it comes to some pics but not in person, could there be a better sculpt in the future.......yes for sure, but this one looks the part, the likeness is there, its arnold no denieing it. As for the pers, it can be made to look bad if posed awkwardly for sure, but thats the gimic, I prefer not to have pers if givin the choice though it can be useful.

The paint looks fine to me, if theres anything wrong with the sculpt its that the hair line is a bit to low, should have been receeded a tad more and the eyes would look a little better squinted more. aside from those minor nitpicks I dig this figure, it looks like a shrunk down arnold as the t-800

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

Is it just me or is the dx13 a complete waste? I mean it cost 300 bucks for more or less a battle damaged dx10 with less accessories. I mean the LM t-1000 is nice and tempting but 300:thud:

I mean back when i first heard about the dx10's price of 230 i thought that was kinda high, but for arnie figure i was willing to shell out. I know this topic is about the dx10 but i wanted to know what you guys think and if think its worth getting.

He's normally one of the first to get figures. But this time I have no idea what's going on.

At this rate DX13 will arrive before DX10!

I have only just received my DX10 from ToyHQ which is another UK company.

OSB sent me my HT Snake late last week, im guessing he should have his DX10s coming in very soon or maybe hes a bit busy.

Heres a few of my pics, its a great figure, imo looks much better with his shades on.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

I meant the young look of arnie that the dx10 has. I didnt know it featured swap out parts, still 300 is a bit steep. Hot toys is getting more greedy lately with these dx figures. I will buying a lot from them this year and the only one that cost that much is the 1/4 scale endo. Wonder when the dx13 comes out hopefully not before Q4.

don't worry!
me buying several covers your missing the figure completely )))

For a moment there I thought you said "six" :wink1:

:thud:
that was about dx10, then i understood that dx13 was discussed, i still don't know how many "several" will be needed :D

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

can't believe you would buy that many, my budget doesnt permit more 2 a month unless i save up in advance. Honestly though i have 1/4 endo as 1st priority and if dx13 does actually release in june(i doubt) that wont work for me as i plan to have mk7 iron man that month. Darn that T-1000 steel mill fight scene photo looks great too :(

i don't collect almost anything so actually my collections are a lot smaller than many others.
thus i can rerout funds for multiple representations of few characters.
there is some robocop stuff coming and i don't know where to take money for it (i don't want to spend everything on toys) and where to keep all that :D

=================================================

i'm searching for MMS117 arms. from shoulder to palm (without palms). maybe connected to a broken torso. the connections to a body should be not broken.
anyone wish to sell?

I was only referring to the complaint about him looking too young, not the overall likeness. I don't think its a perfect sculpt but I still see the likeness.

My biggest complaint about the sculpt is the way they seemed to take inspiration for the hair from the very worst aspect of the Enterbay clean T-800 (much better if they could have taken inspiration from the hair on the Enterbays BD T-800) - they gave the back of his head that puffed out look. I also despise the neck and the way it just doesn't work well with the head.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

they seemed to take inspiration
what a mild expression for laziness and ****ing the buyers: "taking inspiration".

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

Still though i missed out on the old t800 and this will be more than adequate for my collection. I was thinking of trying to snag an old hot toys t-1000 of ebay to go with my arnie.

Would you agree that the hair looks a lot like the Enterbay figure's hair? Particularly towards the back and in the side view.
