Decided to swap clothes since uncle bob was too mint.

Clothes sit better on both bodies.

Having never seen the MMS in-hand what are the advantages it has over the DX10 clothes?

Less puffy, and they have some pretty good wear & tear. The DX clothes really have none, just straight up black.

I can only judge it from the DX10 angle and I have to say that I think the clothes on the DX10 are well done and are a good fit but seeing the pictures that Vodoun posted as well as other comparison pictures in the past then I would have to agree that the MMS clothes do look better.

This is actually a case where what you were saying in the DX13 thread (I think it was you, and I think it was the DX13 thread) comes into play. Hot Toys went with real leather clothes as a **** you to Enterbay, ''we can do real leather too, and we can do it at 1:6, neh neh''. Unfortunately it just doesn't look as good as faux leather at this scale. So while its impressive enough an achievement on a mass produced figure to get it looking as good as it does, it nevertheless does not compare favourably against what they had done before, so it feels more like a step back.

That's the story of DX10 really, some steps forward but some steps back aswell.

BIB, That wasn't me a-dev but I agree on what you are saying but as the DX10 is my only T2 figure I can't compare them hand to hand but only from what I see in pictures and seeing as you have experienced both figures I will take your word on it.

You were spot on with the some steps forward/some steps back comment regarding the DX10s advancement over its predecessor and somewhere in HT HQ the idea of a DX10 2.0 will be floating around.

Healthy competition is good for us fans as the more the merrier I say. Once these companies start getting greedy and jealous of each others products then that is when the **** hits the fan.

And as usual it will be the customers who suffer. Anyway as I have stated previously 1/4 is not for me except for a few Neca items in that scale. I just don't have the space.

A-dev I was meaning that the rivalry between the companies is good for us fans at the moment.

I was trying to say that when they step on each others toes and try to damage each other with the 'you made this, so we will counter with that' bull**** then they take their eye of the ball. Concentrate on your own stuff and if one company makes something then who cares.

We choose who we buy from and a company v company war which is competing for our money usually means that there is only one left standing.

I would hate there to be just one company to buy from.

I have probably taken it to deep but I feel that good healthy competition is fine but a game of one-upmanship is not.

I delved back into the thread and it was indeed your posts that I had in mind. I was making reference to the competition between HT and EB and the way one influences the other and that's the thing you were touching on.

I'm sorry buddy I should have had a closer look and seen that was the conversation you meant. It has been a hectic day with GTA V being released and finishing modding my DX12.

Yeah so basically HT's eagerness to compete against Entebays Terminator caused them to make a hasty decision on the DX10 clothes and they basically said what EB can do, we can do better or at least match.

Yeah San Andreas was 2004 a-dev. A truly great game. I once seen a mod on YT of a guy playing as a T-800 in San Andreas.

PC gaming is a no-no for me barring emulation of old machines but I do play the Xbox 360.

Yep once you hit 21 the years fly bye. I remember on my 25th my mate mentioned that I was a quarter of a century old. That was when it hit me hard.

And its not so much about feeling old, say that to anyone older than you and they'll laugh at you - its just that when you are aware of how quickly the last 10 years went by you can't help but think about how fast the next 10 years are going to by and so on. Before you know it you really will be 'old'
