You can never pass judgment based on internet photos. If you know anything about photography, lighting, composition and post-processing of digital images, you'll know that the amateur photos do not hold a candle to the professional photos from Sideshow's web site. Not dissing the photographer who took these images, but a lot more goes into capturing true colors and details besides pointing a camera at something and releasing the shutter.

dude i have never tried to pass myself off as a professional photographer or said anything in that nature. The only reason i posted these pictures was because there were fellow freaks who wanted to see the end result after all this wait. By the way you talk it looks to me that you know about lighting, composition and post-processing of digital images. good for you maybe you can start a thread on how to edit and post pictures to your liking and i would gladly take notes and learn from a professional. no harsh feeling mate i love my sideshow toys and i get a liltle pissy when people talk ^^^^ about my stuff.

Relax, man. It wasn't a personal attack against you, fruitcake. If you read carefully I was actually defending you and your attempt to showcase your new piece as honestly and accurately as you could. Someone passed judgment on the piece based on shots taken by you that weren't color accurate, which isn't fair. Not that I was trying to discredit your efforts, but to highlight the fact that folks need to see the piece personally and judge for themselves. I'm sure even Sideshow's photos are edited to some degree. They are trying to sell a product, so why wouldn't they enhance the photo to make the piece more appealing? Now with that said, maybe you should back off and we can sit down and bury the hatchet over a nice cold amber ale like a couple of mature adults. *burp*

Computer Fly, no offense, but you got one with a crappy paint job. The FB head/face is horribly painted, like the painter didn't even care. But I think you knew that already. See if SS will give you a new dio?

In relation to the FB head i think you'll find it will be the same for most if not all and i also think u better read the thread again cause it won't be Computer Fly that your offending since he hasn't even received his yet.

well she took it kinda good actually, she likes it. i finally gave them some fresh air and took out my sauron statue and lord morgul statue and put them up next to the dio. eowyn and the GG animaquette did'nt make the cut so i put the back in their box.

nah not yet because i spent all afternoon fixing and putting back all my stuff back in the closet that i took out, that i did'nt have time to take pictures in the day. man i tell you my closet is like tetris, i was trying to use every free piece of space i could. but tomorrow i'll snap some in post them in my show yo' shevels thread.

[Mr Fell Beast]

This will be my first Sideshow LOTR piece.

I hear you man, same here, I did not get any kind of notice on the warehouse arrival, when shipped etc, but I just got one that the item was shipped on Thursday and will be here on Tuesday!
This will be my "first sideshow" piece, I do have plenty of SSW items so someone was complaining about breakage and shipping, no need to worry, if SS does anything great, it is the packaging on the Poly items, AWESOME job SS! After seeing yr pics I am VERY excited about the arrival of my new item, my first in over 3 yearsD......Depending on how this piece is done, mainly the paint job, I just might pull the trigger on the Balrog Dio, so here is HOPING!!!!!!
Tuesday cant get here soon enough!! And yes I agree, flexpay is a WONDERFUL feature!!!
