Last thing I sold was a Jack Skellington figure, with replaceable heads (no it was not that super nice Medicom one). I got a PM while it was still up asking if it would be good to use for stop motion. I said no, as the articulation on the figure was not very good. The stupid bimbo bought it anyway, then complained the shoulder joint was loose in the box (which was mint, unopened when I sent it). She filed a claim on PayPal to get her money back. I don't know if she actually did, that was around the time that I filed bankruptcy. But I also put up a good fight. She stained my 100% feedback though. Dumb broad.

I have a buy it now for something for 3K and the jack wipe writes me and askes if I would sell it for 1.5.

What did happen with that one, anyway? I remember following it for awhile in that Predator thread but don't recall the outcome.

I went to my bank and canceled the ACH payment from Paypal. They never got their money back from my account, and I never heard from either again. They gave him x amount of days to return the figure before he could get his refund. I called paypal and told them I would refuse to sign and take anything from that guy. It was his word against mine, and there's no way to prove that he wouldn't send me a different Predator claiming it was the wrong one from what was in the description.

Joy...I was going to list my HT P1, P2, and Wolverine this weekend. I'll have to think about it. I hate selling expensive stuff on eBay. I don't mind little stuff (they still occasionally welch, but not as annoying on little stuff).

I remember when I was selling a resin Pulse Rifle kit on eBay a few years back before there were enforcable zone restrictions. I had big bold letters in all caps in the description: "DUE TO SIZE AND WEIGHT, I WILL NOT SHIP THIS ITEM INTERNATIONALLY!". I cancelled bids from a couple of international bidders during the auction, and of course some twit from the UK snipes the auction in the few seconds. He emails me back and forth begging that he be able to buy the kit. I relent and have it weighed at the USPS and come back with a shipping quote around $100. He finally admits he made a mistake :cuckoo:

I don't mind selling internationally except really large / heavy items...and shipping costs is the reason why.

This friggin d-bag still hasn't paid. I could give two ____s about his excuses. here's some email of him still stringing me along (read most recent to oldest top to bottom). eBay still wont let me file an unpaid bidder claim even though the auction ended 8 days ago.

words of wisdom, block "ghost770404" from your auctions.

If I don’t get paid soon, I plan on filing a non-paying bidder claim so I’m not charged the $30 in ebay fees. If you didn’t have the money, I really wish you hadn’t bid on my auction. Now I’m being penalized because you don’t have your stuff together. The guy right beneath your bid was ready to pay. Don’t know how much longer I can wait.

Hi Scott.

I hope you´re ok, I´m having some problems with the money transfer to the paypal account, I know that I´ve already made you wait too much, and I´m really sorry for this, but our banking System here in Mexico Sucks , its all about bureaucratic rules and stupid corporate policies, My friend and I none of us had activated our internet banking services on neither of our accounts, right now I´m struggling to finish activating mine, if it goes well and I can finish with this today, I´d be transfering the money tomorrow to the paypal account and I´d be able to pay you as soon as the electronic deposit goes through, it should pass tomorrow if the system accepts my "token" activation today, that´s the part that´s been getting on my nerves and doesn´t seem to be working, the bank server seems to be death, and keeps telling me that I cant activate due to a server time out or not responding, I´m going to try all night even if I have to so that I can pay you tomorrow, this situation makes me feel very unconfortable.

On the other hand, I was thinking if this situation gives you a big problem we can settle an agreement, i really want the piece and i have the money (as told you) but this situation taking longer than necessary, i don´t know if you can give me until tuesday to check this and end the purchase, if you can´t please tell me and i will absorve the pay of your fee that you have to pay on ebay.

My most sincere apologies.

Raphael M.

Yes, I’m okay with this, but please know that I will only ship to the address linked to the paypal account. Please do not skip out on the deal as it creates a big hassle for me to recover my fees in the case of a non-paying bidder. Thanks. Hope to hear from you by Thursday.

Hi Scott:
I hope you´re ok, payment would be through paypal, as I mentioned before that account belongs to a friend, I need to make a deposit to his bank account and later put the money on the Paypal account, by checking paypal the money takes to appear from 2 to 4 business days, but the weekend is already here and we have a holiday on monday this means that you might get your money by thursday or friday, I DO HAVE THE MONEY, I just need to put the money on my friend´s paypal account, I didn´t knew if I was going to win that bid and I didn´t checked paypal before, are you ok with this? hope you have a great day and an even better weekend.

Regards.

Raphael M.

Please let me know how and when you plan to pay. Typically, payment is made within 1-3 days of an auction end. I need to know that you are serious about buying it and have the ability to pay for it.
I will not accept a wire transfer and I will only ship it to the address listed on the paypal transaction. Otherwise, I leave myself vulnerable to scams.
Thanks you. And please let me know how and when you plan on paying.

Scott

Please pay through paypal. I will ship to the address on the paypal account only, for your protection and for mine. Where are you located at? The address needs to be a confirmed shipping address.

Hi Scott:

I happily bought from you my long lost classic predator, how much time do i have to make the full payment? This is my first ebay purchase how does this work? how can i pay? i have a friend´s paypal account to put the money in, or is it better for you a wire transfer? how do you guarantee the delivery of the figure? thanks for this opportunity.

Regards
Raphael M.

Scott, why can't you file an unpaid bidder claim yet? Last i heard it was only 5 days after auction ends. Before it was 7 minimum days.

The option is grayed out.

Edit: nevermind, I'm just a *******. I think I selected the wrong action. Filing claim now.

Looks like I'll be holding onto my P1 for a little longer.

I remove the bids of folks with zero feedback, then block them from bidding. I've had experiences similar to yours Mesa, and the potential hassle far outweighs the potential benefits.

It was a last second snipe, or I would have removed the bid myself. I need to remember to add that back to my item description. I wish ebay let you block anyone with less than 5 feedback, but they only let you do that for unpaid strikes. Thing is, his last minute bid beat the other guy with a 30+ feedback by only something like $3, not even the full $5 increment.

You can block those people with less than 5 feedback, preventing them from bidding. I have the default pre-set on my auctions.

It's an option you can click when making the auction.

I need to look into that.

Let me know if you have trouble. I don't recall exactly where it is on the page, but if need be, I can check it out again. It's definitely there though.

I had a similar thing happen to me years back. Auction ended. Guy bid last minute and then decided he didn't want it. He had 1 or 2 feedbacks, and I said never again.

sorry to hear that mesa. it sounds like the guy was getting stupider with every email reply he sent. how do you go through all that and then ask in the last reply," how does this work?"

Mesa, I would not send this guy the item, who knows where this can lead to from the sounds of it.

This man speaks the truth. :lecture

What could possibly go wrong?

:lol :lol :lol

I laugh everytime I read that email. Classic.

Sorry for the bad luck, Mesa.

Stay away from this guy, IMO.

He has just informed me that his uncle, who is a prince or a king in Nigeria, will send me a wire transfer in the amount of 5X the asking price if I send him his original payment, as it got held up in the custom's guys bunghole. I think I'm gonna do it. I'll make 4X the profit. ;)
