After much trial and error, I've finally got the body that is Quinn.
I examined the way he looked at every angle and after about 5 different bodies
I came up with the one that is most like Bale in this film.
Even with some of the mechanical issues this body has, it is most like Bale
in every way. The WorldBox VT-001.
It's a thinner muscle body that has
the correct angle in shoulder slope, meets perfectly at shoulder to arms,
is slightly shorter than the HT body I was going to use. Has slightly shorter arms
than the HT and when dressed, looks the most realistic of all the bodies I've tried.
The common issues with the ankle joints will be an easy fix. The body is so heavy
that the ankle joints were not made to withstand the weight. I will custom make
so new ankle joints that will hold up. In the end, it will look so much more realistic
and really help bring the character to life.
I almost passed up trying out this body, now I'm very happy I didn't.
I can get passed any and all mechanical issues, but in the end, it
is truely the most realistic I have ever used.
Not because they put
private parts on it, but because it looks like the designer really did
the research on how the human body flows and it translates into
the 1/6 body they've made.
Not in every way it articulates, but
it the way it's put together like a real body and how that looks when
dressed. Yes it's 95% HT TTM-19 with a few refinements and drawbacks.
But compare prices of the 2 and the fact the quality is very close to HT
and it's a great replacement.
Congrats Worldbox, I hope you work out the mechanical issues and
improve the articualtion. That would really have the other body companies
shaking in their 1/6 boots.
