That is true to a large extent; EFX produced these in concert with the guys who made the ones seen onscreen using their process and masters. Having said that there is no "stunt shield" per se. This version of the shield replaced the aluminum ones during the production of the Avengers. The fibreglass ones were indeed initially conceived when making "stunt" shields but due to their versatility they were adopted as the defacto shield. The look of the EFX style fiberglass shield is the ONLY look seen in Acts 2 & 3 of the Avengers, all of the Winter Solider and seemingly Age of Ultron from the few screens I have seen.

I do really really wanna get this version of the shield since it may be the only one we get with the classic straps. Unless they really make the clean red shield from TWS. Cause that's the last time we'll see a shield with classic straps as AOU has a new handle. Still looking for an EFX one to buy btw. Unless I somehow get an extra $200 on me.

Thanks fellas. As I said before I totally get it if folks are seeking the shiny TFA look when shopping shields; that said to call or insinuate the EFX is in anyway inaccurate or inferior is just wrong. It IS 110% faithful reproduction of the shield as seen in the majority of Cap's appearances. EFX did themselves a disservice in how they marketed and promoted these imho. They needed to champion what they are and state what they are not.

The EFX shield looks incredible on my wall. It has a gorgeous and unique shine/glow and almost radiates. That is just with the light in my office and no special LED or spotlights set up. It is a sight to behold and I wouldn't trade it for any of the current alternative offerings.

Ultimately I would like to have this one and a screen accurate TFA shield with the subtle bullet strike BD in my collection. The TWS stealth and BD shields didn't do it for me and would just be variants of my current EFX beauty anyways.

at $799.99 each. I think that is about the cheapest you will get one now.

Unless you luck into a cancellation on BBTS, that is. They will have theirs in stock sometime in April.

If the KA shield looks better, I will definitely be cancelling. I like the eFX from afar plus the carry-bag it comes with, but if the wall mount requires drilling into the walls, then I can't mount the shield and will need to get a pedestal.

Best of luck getting in on the Preorder. My cancelled one at BBTS lasted all of two minutes before it was sold out again.

I was offered one last night from a friend of mine who got his direct from efx, he sold it to me for less than retail, so I bit...
I am such a sucker, lol. I just really want a Cap shield, dammit! So now I should have it in hand on Monday or Tuesday.

Guess I will see first hand what one looks like. If I decide to keep it, I will ditch my King Arts PO.
If it is not for me, I will offer it up to anyone on the board here for retail cost.

I have an A-Frame guitar stand that I think will work for this shield, since I have nowhere to wall mount it.

Thanks for sharing that video. The frame at 0:26 is pretty much exactly what the current EFX looks like.

Don't know that I love the darker/more subdued colour of the shield in AoU as Cap always struck me as having that hope/soul role on the team and the brighter colours helps convey that. Love the new costume though as his Avengers one was horrible.

Completely agree with this. The unexposed ears didn't help either. It just made his head look like the end of a ****. Have the King Arts shields come out already?

lol... The Classic Version King Arts shields were able to be picked up at the King Arts store weeks ago.
There are a few in stock on eBay, but those are mainly the Classic Wall Mounted Version.

Still have not been able to track down any other in-hand pics of it
