The sharpie painted C-scar should have been left out completely by EFX. The SE helmet would also need a bit of overall weathering to capture more of ANH dirty feel.

Depends on the buyer. If you want accuracy in detail and materials there is no way the $350 PCR helmet compares. It looks good at a passing glance but in hand they are much different. Read this review, they are very different pieces:

Oh I'm not in any way saying that the pcr helmet is equal to the legend, I should have made that clear, my point was just on price per differences alone. The legend goes for as high as 4K these days, I myself am lucky enough that I could afford one but the pcr IMO is close enough in detail that even I bought that instead of pulling the trigger on the legend.
Show me a legend at $1500-2000 ab
No that's the way I would go.

The Legend is a good helmet but I would never pay that much for it.Its also to polished and idialized..not so much like the plastic one..but lots too much.

True but at the original price of $999 the Vader Legend was a better value and the extra $$$ between it and the PCR was manageable. Me being a Vader focused collector, know that the fiberglass legend is idealized too. But I have a SL ANH for my purist nature. I will take a comparison pic between my SL, my efX Legend, and my efX PCR standard. It's cool to see them all lined up next to each other. . Btw...I have never seen a efX legend go for $3500.

The PCR is way more idealized than the LE or Legend. Look at the mouth grilles for example, they are perfectly symmetrical on PCR. And there are so many other details missing on the PCR when compared to any of the other 2 fiberglass helmets from EFX. SL remains the best so far, a superb replica, but for me that binding contract (similar to TM's), despite completely understanding its reasons, stops me in buying any prop that I won't own totally.

Yes..but all the dents and details that the other cleaned EFX helmets have would never bring me to the point to pay this ebayprices.3000$ I would only pay for a direct uncleaned cast from the Baker Mold!
But don´t missunderstand me...the Legend is way better as the PCR helmet.But the PCR one is for its price so near...a very good deal.

But I sayed that I wanna rework my PCR helmet to the "Legend Look"...and the first step is to remove this ugly boys from the sides of the facemask.

So...I did it...

Now I can rework them or add some new casts of an other Vadermask I have.

If you want a mostly unaltered Rick Baker mold helmet you should try a SL I would not pay $3000 for a Legend either. I was very lucky to find a EU seller who got his directly from a US guy, so no insane prices, considering EFX asked $700 for shipping the Legend to my location. I got mine for almost the same price US customers got theirs

Nice job so far on the helmet. Do you intend to weather it further?

This is one advantage the Special Edition has over the Legend. I doubt anyone would pass around the Legend to the family like this.
