Bought. Does it come with a stand to put the helmet on? What's the difference between the Special Addition that's $30 extra on the eFX website? Is one a "fiberglass" version that I keep hearing about?

No stand. And neither versions are fibreglass the SE just has the brushed two tone paint work and the painted on C scar.

What's the best way to remove the C scar? Somebody suggested Novus 2 and a microfiber cloth but I'm not sure whether it was meant as a scratch removal.

I love how the droids have the Tantive IV background and the Snow Trooper has Hoth. The Tusken Raider just gets the wall since its already the color of Tatooine... and just a small part of the wall too!

No. The fiberglass versions are called Legend and Limited (LE), the Legend having an edition of 364 pieces, and LE 1000 pieces. Both Legend and LE come with display stand, numbered plaque and COA, Legend keeping more of the original warps and dings and being brush painted, and LE being a tad more idealized. Though both are way more accurate than the new plastic versions, no matter if regular or SE. Legend and LE are the best licensed Vader helmets out there, but they cost a lot now.

That someone was probably one of the many people on the forums who keep saying it's not accurate because they don't realize it's an ESB helmet not an ANH helmet. It hasn't shipped yet.

They are two completely different helmets at different price points. The Anovos is fiberglass and costs twice as much. I just mentioned it in response to the older EFX fiberglass pictures posted above.

The Anovos sucks. So what if it is not anh. It's super wonky. The production esb and rotj helmets were built on the base anh sculpt/cast with the window's peak rounded off and the chin vent enlarged. I'm oversimplifying but I don't think the Anovos looks accurate.

I think most people know Anovos is making an ESB version while the EFX is an ANH.

The difference is that the EFX does a better job resembling the ANH helmet it's supposed to replicate better than the Anovos replicates the ESB version. The EFX has a more accurate overall shape and the edges are much sharper and better defined. The Anovos looks warped and distorted and has very soft looking edges and details. Granted, I'm making this judgement based on having the EFX PCR in hand but only seeing pictures of the Anovos (which hasn't been delivered to anyone yet, as far as I know).

Neither helmet is a perfect representation of the screen used props. I've mentioned what I see as "wrong" with Anovos. As for the EFX PCR, the teeth have been cleaned up and straightened out and the shape of the tusk tubes have been compromised for the sake of the manufacturing process. It also has an idealized paint job and is made of plastic instead of fiberglass. It's up to each person to determine which compromises are more acceptable.

Personally, I think the compromises made on the EFX are more than acceptable given the incredible price point and the fact that most of the "issues" all but disappear from a few feet away. It looks freaking amazing on display! As for Anovos, we have yet to see what the final version will actually look like in-hand. But based on pictures so far, I can't imagine I'll be wishing I had spent double for it instead of getting my PCR from EFX.

Wish EFX had done another two piece helmet so people could do a reveal display with them reselling the reveal stand (Even though I'd just buy a cheaper 3d printed version). But I guess they probably don't want to step on the toes of their older pieces.

Decided to pick one of these up as well. I wasn't quite willing to spend $300 for it, but I found a place selling it on Black Friday for $200 (with free shipping) and it just seemed too good a deal to pass up.

I admit it does feel a bit cheap and plasticky in hand (and there are a few more ripples in the dome than I'd prefer to see), but it still looks impressive enough from a distance. Although the thing is so freakin gigantic it's hard to find a good place to even PUT the thing.

I'm also hoping to repaint and weather it to more of it's ANH appearance at some point, as I've seen a few people do on the RPF.
