I can't wait for mine to arrive. Between this and the Tusken PF, this will be a great year for me even if I don't purchase anything else.

They've already been working on the Slave 1, it has a good chance of being their next studio scale prop. It might not be up for sale until next year though.

Hello everyone, i am new here. I am in Australia and was about to complete my X Wing order when i saw how much they wanted to ship this thing, $337 USD! And thats the cheap option! I dont get it, the MR Falcon only cost $101 USD to ship here and thats a lot larger in size. With our exchange rate dropping even more in the past day this is gona really hurt. I considered cancelling but apparently the deposit is non refundable, and thats like a $550 deposit. Anyone else in Australia order one of these X Wings?

The falcon really only cost $101 to ship from the US to Australia? It cost more than that for me to get it to Illinois from California.

But yes, $337 is a lot. efX has had some issues with international shipping prices being too high.

Yes i was thinkin about getting it from the same place, it will save all the customs hassles and also worked out to be about $200 cheaper then getting it straight from efx. i am considering it also. but ye it is a lot of money, especially for this economic time.
I just cant help how awesome it would look next to the MR Falcon, i feel the dark side is pulling me over...... :emperor

Ye it cost only $101, (actually it was $102, i had a look last night, commercial invoice is still stuck on the box) with DHL to Australia. I dont know how MR managed to ship them internationally for so cheap, i have seen them on ebay with prices like $1500 for shipping in the past.
I know efx is shipping the x wings within the USA for free, but with such a high international shipping price you would think they could have at least offered some kind of discount for international customers.

Just got this yesterday. I like it a lot. The lights are amazing, but darned hard to photograph. The instruments in the cockpit light up as does R2, but I couldn't get a decent photo showing that.

How did you get yours on Friday Dave? Bryan said that Fedex only picked up the first batch from efx on Friday.

Anyway - thanks for the pix. How do you like it in person? not too toy-like?

I'm digging it a lot actually. I think it looks fantastic. I had the Hasbro x-wing, which I'd always thought was pretty decent, but it was nothing compared to this. Whether it's worth the money - that's a question everyone will have to ask themselves. Apart from the Falcon, it's about as definitive a SW collectible you can get, so if you only have one item in your SW collection, it should be this.

It's a little hard to get onto the stand and the instructions say that you MUST have 2 people to do it. But I was able to do it myself. The cocpit detail is really great and the as I said, I'm very impressed with the lightup feature, both in the ckpit and the engines. There's some lightbleed on R2, but it doesn't really detract from the look.

The wings open and close very easily.

I could see where some people might have issues with the weathering. Some of the blaster scarring looks like an airbrush did it, but I'm betting it did on the original studio model too.

And in case anyone was wondering - I was told the signed plaques are still lost by FedEx. Mark will sign new ones after WonderCon if the other ones can't be found.

I think the definitive SW collectible should be Luke ANH 1:1 replica lightsaber.

I think it depends on the person. (I'm partial to a 1:1 C-3PO for some reason ;) but others might prefer the Millennium Falcon or Darth Vader's mask). In any case, the X-wing is certainly right up there in terms of iconic Star Wars things, and this is probably going to be the definitive X-wing collectible for some time.
