The X Wing looks awesome Darklord Dave. I was just wandering, does anyone think the 'grey' on the efx x wing cockpit is a bit too dark?
I found some pics of a model x wing from a star wars exhibition and it looks a lot lighter and a bit more toned to the rest of the x wing body...

Those are the pics of the 5 foot xwing made for ROTJ. The efx is made from rare pics of the original x-wing used in the making of ANH. A model that does not exist in it's original form any longer.

I really don't see any difference in the color - the lighting in my photos may make it appear a bit brighter.

I think the definitive SW collectible should be Luke ANH 1:1 replica lightsaber.

I think it depends on the person. (I'm partial to a 1:1 C-3PO for some reason but others might prefer the Millennium Falcon or Darth Vader's mask). In any case, the X-wing is certainly right up there in terms of iconic Star Wars things, and this is probably going to be the definitive X-wing collectible for some time.

Definitely agree, the 1:1 droids are the definitive Star Wars collectible. How much cooler does it get then having lifesize droids that look like they came straight out of the movie into your living room.

But which version nash?

I like the ANH MR SE, although i think the activator switch calculator bubble thingy on the SE/LE is backwards, or upside down, or facing the wrong way, however u might like to put it.

I havent seen the ELITE edition in person but i think this is the correct design and it faces the right way.

Personally i love the ESB 1:1 MR SE Saber, It has a great machined type finish thats not exactly chrome like the ELITE ANH or as dull as the SE/LE ANH finish.

EFX XWing is definately up there though and would be one of the only things id keep if i ever had to sell my collection.

I would however love to have a 1:1 Darth Vader standing in the loung room with working lights! :emperor

The Elite ANH Luke is based on promotion pictures where the box is facing the "wrong way" if you are looking for movie accuracy.

And in case anyone was wondering - I was told the signed plaques are still lost by FedEx. Mark will sign new ones after WonderCon if the other ones can't be found.

The lost plaques were unsigned, so they're making them over again for Mark to sign.

Yes I do, every photo to date has not captured the look. It has a lot more weathering than what we've seen, it does look dirty.

I have to say that the more and more I see of this bad boy the more I like it. I may actually take the plunge and order one from BIGBADTOYSTORE since they have preordered a few and will have them in stock soon. I think photos really cannot do this thing justice. In the newer photos that have been put up you can see the weathering and there is quite a bit there which is just right. What the hell...I'm going to try to score one.

Looks great..I need to get me a new Digital SLR Cannon or even Nikon...but with toys like the EFX Wing and SS Grievous bust coming, its hard to save money to get one...
