Wow, lots of experience. I am basically still starting out. C# .Net and SQL Server here. Oracle and VB isn't hard to migrate into...just didn't have the chance yet. Hard for me to find a position for some reason. Maybe I don't have the photographic memory.

How the heck you have the time to program, body building, and paint/modeling? Assuming paint/modeling is more of a hobby.

He just turns green!

1 hr of cardio and 1.5 weights ea. day if contest prep, that's 2 hr of cardio with 1.5 weights a day.

I usually just stick to foods, I've posted my diet in my blogs and I'll usually post my food intake in the fitness thread as well, I didn't post this whole week though because of the break.

hmm, that's quite a bit of time. i used to take whey protein when i was going to the gym regularly, it was pretty good.

SS is under maintenance!! Enough reading. Time for some exercise. Eggs(yellow & white) and Canned Tuna for me. I've tried some natural supplement before but it loses the effect after a week or two. Maintaining 200lbs is my only goal.

Too bad I have no interest in Elektra. Just good reading people!!

It may be an old issue to those of you who have been on this message board a long time. But I haven't been here that long and quite frankly, I am amazed at the way that behavior that in most societies would be considered greedy, selfish, rude, etc. is not only tolerated but considered by many to be positive and something to be proud about. And if someone new like me mentions that they find scalping (call it what it is, it doesn't deserve the benign term flipper) to be in poor taste, I am told its an old boring issue and that I should take it to some ancient single thread where crazy people go to post. What kind of community is this that people have gotten used to such behavior?

My question to you is did you use the search function and look for previous threads on the subject first? It's not so much that scalping is condoned on this site as it's people who've been here for years being tired of the same old arguments brought up every 3-6 months.

No one is saying scalpers don't have a legal right to do what they do. But when they do scalp, they prevent others from obtaining an item at original retail. I find that behavior offensive and I'm going to say it is. I have been on a Disney message board for many years where we all help each other find difficult limited editions. When there are convention exclusives we make wish lists to help each other out. It is a supportive positive group. No one goes on there and says: I just got the limited that retails for $200 and I'm willing to sell it to you all for $500. That never happens there because it is a COMMUNITY where people help each other. But here, not only is scalping celebrated but there is also a desire to shut up anyone who points out how they find it to be in poor taste. Of course, as long as there is profit to be made, scalpers will be around, but that doesn't make it right and at the very least when someone points out that they think its crude to scalp, they shouldn't be called a "commie" and told to go "post in the one single crazy people anti-scalper" thread.

What you mentioned about the Disney community happens here also...and a helluva lot more than the scalping/flipping does. My White Elektra was ordered by a friend of mine who just happened to be awake when she went live. She cost me exactly NOTHING over SRP + shipping from SS.

It's all about building relationships here or on any other site. There are people here who I'm friends with online and those whom I've actually met in person and had over to my place. Those are my "inner circle" of this community and ones that I can sell to or buy from at SRP.

If I haven't made a connection with someone here I wouldn't expect them to sell to me for C+S and neither should someone else just because we all belong to the same message board.

Now, if Darklord Dave had said in the beginning when he created these forums that "no items will be sold for more than C+S" then it may have been a different story. But even then, that would only pertain to sales here, not Ebay or anywhere else.

I think some members are just advertising it to rub it in blackthornone's face because he's so obsessed with anti-scalping that that's all he talks about. I have no problem with that and find it funny. I know I behaved similarly when I was able to get a PZ Ex.

:rock :rock bang on Scott

If you were in the food line and there was a limited number of bowls of soup and you grab 3 by standing in line 3 times, when there is a sign that says 1 per person and let others go hungry, then they are gonna be repercussions and dissatisfied people. They have a right to voice their opinion as well as anyone. It's just funny people get in a huff about them getting miffed. :p I like it, good entertainment.

Please... now you're just being ridiculous. comparing a life necessity to something as trivial as a f'n statue? :lol I swear some of you are truly lost. Just to let you guys in on a little secret....i laugh at all of this. I do flip and I do help people out on occasion. I sleep perfectly fine at night as well. I laugh because some of you actually really do get your panties in a wad and have this stuff ruin your day. :lol

To each his own, everyone has their own means of making money, if you're comfortable with it and getting around the one per customer rule on sideshow by making multiple account, then that's what's important. I knew a guy who slept perfectly fine at night after scalping tickets too, he said the same thing as you. :) You can easily replace food with a product that is one per customer. Just don't try to pan it off and claim that it's not directly affecting someone down the line on the waitlist or chastise someone for airing their own views on the matter. Those that get their panties in a bunch over a mundane message board or have it ruin their day are pretty funny too, in the end it's a forum and I find it extremely entertaining. :banana:banana:banana

lol :lol. if i was breaking the rules sideshow would cancel my other orders. Since they don't im obviously doing something RIGHT :lol

Again, I see no correlation or reason to compare a life necessity to a statue. a statue is NOT a necessity, if someone doesnt have one they wont die, they wont suffer, their life won't be altered in a significant way. please come up with better excuses. :banana:banana:banana

How is that an excuse? An excuse for what? Please explain.

Like I said already, you can replace food with any inanimate item instead and standing in line a few times for said object although a sign stipulates one per person. It's not excuses merely what it is. You seem like the one trying to justify stuff. It's easy to get around and I doubt SSC cares. Like I said before if you're ok with it, that's fine, I'm merely stating what it is. Notice I never said it was wrong, I never implicated you. Whatever stigma is yours to bear and you don't need to justify youself to anyone really. Flip it and flaunt it if you want, flippers will be flippers :) damn this thread is loads of fun!

There is nothing illegal about what you are doing. It is certainly in the spirit of capitalism. And I'm sure you have found a way of doing the multiple accounts in a way that Sideshow can't tell that you have multiple accounts, such as having a family member and/or friend (do scalpers actually have friends?) have separate accounts at different addresses with different credit cards.

And I'm sure you sit by the computer all day so you can be the first to click on the pre-order button (got to admire that quick clicking skill!, probably took years to develop it!)

You are aware that every one of us here on this message board could do the same exact thing. There is nothing special about what you do. So not sure exactly what you are bragging about. I ran a 26.2 mile marathon and have run multiple half marathons, I feel proud about that. I trained for months. Woke up at 5 AM on Sundays for long runs of 10, 15, 20, 22 miles as I prepared. I think it was special. I worked hard for it. There is nothing special about having a couple of family members names to order stuff with or about sitting by the computer to quickly click on pre-order. So why are you so proud of what you do. I didn't hurt anyone when I ran my marathon, you hurt others who would like to buy at retail. So what are you so proud and smug about?

The fact is that what you are doing is taking away the opportunity of others to buy something at retail so that you can profit for doing essentially nothing. AND you are doing that to people who are part of the same communities (such as this message board) that you are a part of. So basically, instead of helping others get items at retail, you are a parasite on this community. If you can live with that fine. But don't try to convince everyone to agree with you that what you are doing is okay. Because many of us don't think its okay and look on you as a low life scalper. Why are you trying to convince us its okay? If you are okay with it, go for it, its certainly not illegal. But I and many others will call you out on it when you try to convince us its okay, because in our eyes it is not.
