Now that right there is a reason to NOT be a flipper. I definitely don't want a stigmata just because I flipped a statue.

Seriously though, who cares! Flipping isnt a sin. However, likening the flipping of a "golden idol" such as a Sideshow statue to stealing food from the starving is bordering on sin at the very least!!

Sure it sucks when you miss out on a statue and see it getting flipped. We have all been there. It sure feels good though when you're on the other end though and making a pretty penny off someone elses misfortune! :chew

congrats to all those lucky enough to score and plan to keep elektra. the scalper debate is never old in my books, but even I am getting tired of it. I wanted a white elektra and lost out most likely to a scalper. It sucks but it isn't the end of the world.

the scalpers on here just like to provoke folks sometimes...just learn to ignore them. we can argue back and forth forever...it just boils down to whether you are ok with profiting on the backs of your fellow collectors. some unfortunately are, which is a shame imho.

Was it a 1 person marathon? If not, then it is very likely that you did hurt someone (not physically, but in the same vein of hurt you are attributing to flippers/scalpers). You either finished before or after multiple people. Some may be hurt because you finished before them and some may be hurt because you finished after them. You deprived them of their desired finish.

amazing the extents people will go to condone bad behavior, whatever, yeah I came in at about the 45th percentile. So 55% of the people behind me were deeply hurt. Next time, to be a good citizen I'll not only come in last but help those who are struggling to make it to the end.

Ill tell you who makes ME mad! Sideshow! I mean...im not certain...but I think they make a PROFIT selling statues to us collectors! And, since Sideshow didnt actually MAKE the statues, they are flippers!

Of course...you could make the argument that Sideshow paid someone else to develop and produce thier statues...and then took the product they paid for and sell if for a higher price in order to make money....oh wait...nope...still the definition of a flipper

The difference is they are licenced by Marvel and they hire the sculptors to make the product themselves or/and everything they sell (hopefully) is condoned by contract or agreement by the original owners of property and they don't necessarily have to conform to a stipulated number of items all the time.

To add more fuel to the fire, cause I am half-freezing in my room, I say SS shouldn't market those express mail and give away that Green and Grey Hulk PF for regular price. At least charge $900 bucks dammit. SS should hold back 10 ES from in-demand item each and sell it a yr later...sure to be a successful flippers! Ah I mean scalper, sorry. That way they can profits both way.
