Fixed the eyes, I think I have them where I want them now.

Wow, that looks awesome: I guess it's easy to fix eyes (just a simple paint over)? I think I'd go ballistic trying to fix 'or repaint 'em.

Re: Elvis1976 customs•elysium•nazgul•aragorn•lurtz

Re: Elvis1976 customs•elysium•nazgul•aragorn•lurtz

Re: Elvis1976 customs•elysium•nazgul•aragorn•lurtz

Sweet fancy jeezus weezus....:thud:

Had to back track a couple hundred posts to get caught up......where to start?!?! :google

Batman, Kruger, Max, Captain America, Punisher, Dare Devil, Wolverine, Splinter, Joel, SAFS Suit, Rambo, Killing Joke Joker, SAFS troops, Solid Snake, Day The World Went Away, Nazgul, Aragorn......:monkey1

So much I could mention on each piece, but what stood out the most was the weathering on the SAFS suit! That's a new level of paint work. Amazing!

Really love the hair work on Rambo and Aragorn.

Killing Joke Joker is perfection!

The trick you did to get the Nazgul robe to "sit" around a vacant head is genius!

So much great stuff, Seb! Never cease to amaze. :clap

Re: Article: ELVIS1976 custom DREDD 3D

Wow.

I suppose I should stop being surprised every time my jaw hits the floor on this thread, but I can't help it!

Holy crap, dude! That Lurtz is fantastic! Maybe my favorite of all your figures so far!

Beautiful. :bow

Re: Elvis1976 customs•elysium•nazgul•aragorn•lurtz

Best Aragorn I've seen but if i might add, I think the pupils are a tad too small. I think that's what throws it off. Everything else is perfect.

Thanks and I think you are right. I'm still fine tuning him. Damn I already painted those eyes 4 times.
It's funny sometimes you paint them perfectly and sometimes it takes 4 or 5 tries. It drives me made.

Working on a base for him something small but some kind of outdoor feel with moss.

I should have a pics of Gimli by the weekend. Finished putting the hair and beard now I need to futz the mess.

Re: Elvis1976 customs•elysium•nazgul•aragorn•lurtz

Hey Seb, any good tutorials you could recommend for working with Styrene. I've got a few things I'd like to do, but I don't even know what kind I'd want to buy. Anything I've found on line has been for 1:1 armor, not 1/6.

Ain't that the truth... although I find it's best just to do the eyes and then move on. You can always fix them after the rest of the head is painted :lol

I didn't used any tutorial.

For Lurtz I drew the pattern in illustrator.
I took the dimension of the body I will be using and then drew the basic shapes.

I print them on paper cut them and then traced them on the styrene.
I used 0,5mm thickness. Cut all the parts and assembled them with tape.

I bent them using an hairdryer. Once the shape was good I attached all the parts using leather straps at the back.

What you did looks incredible... would never have guessed it started out as thin sheets of plastic :lol

Can't wait to see what else you do with Middle Earth :rock
