The guns looked the same to me but then again I'm not a gun buff so I would have no clue. If this is the new base price fine with me I'm still buying. We could all be better at voicing our opinions be it good or bad. Myself included.

are the exclusives in the bundle or the ordinary figures, and can you still
order the exclusives seperately if you ordered the bundle pack?

I'm going to stick with this combo pack:

Certainly my sentiments...the $59.99. Man, that was a quick price increase. Luke was only $49.99. I wonder what they have up their sleeves though? What's coming that would justify pushing all this stuff into 1st QTR? I wonder if they'll do a "one of each" program if we are to expect to pay say (guessing here) $70/80 for the troopers??? When is Padme pre-order going up? Maybe the next podcast will shed some light???

THAT I would order, I passed on the dollies; though I prefer the peanut butter.

The infantry and Nik Sant have an Endor Rebel Command Rifle with sling, and the sergeant has a Endor Rebel Command A-280 Rifle with sling, and yes it is slightly different in looking at the pics.

I studied the pics and the rifle looks the same to me for all three. What's the difference?

I agree they look the same, but they do list them slightly different in the details.

Not only most of the outfits and accessaries are the same in all three figures, somebody also noticed the punch is reused from SS Platoon figures.

I think all the rifles are A-280's. SS doesn't always remain consistant on its descriptions. For instance, it also says "pants" or "pants with high pockets" for the same pants worn by the Infantry and Brant.

Meh. Pre-ordered these, but if finances get tight, I'll just cancel. Not that desperate to get them, but would be nice to display next to 12" Luke since he is in the same outfit on Endor.

There will only be one version of each figure made. The regular soldier, then Nik and Brant, which are both Sideshow Exclusives--meaning that they won't be sold through retailers (in the US). There will not be the typical "exclusive" version with an extra accessory this time--a first for the Star Wars line, I believe. If you get the bundle, you get everything that is being produced.

These are the first figures to not have an exclusive, but the first item in the Star Wars line to not have an exclusive was Jabba's Throne.

Right, I was thinking of the figures.

And all of that, for only $59.99 a figure! And don't forget the Sideshow gift card valued at $25!

I didn't mean to sound like a used car salesman! :D I was just pointing out that the bundle gives you everything there is to get. Whether or not that is a good deal is in the eye of the beholder--I was trying to clarify content, not value.

Tom! I know that, and I'm happy that good guys like you do all this effort, really. I just can't belive that SSC is raising the prices of their SW 12 line, so it seams. I'm a bit surprised that this doesn't seem to bother to many people around here. On the other hand, we better wait until we know for sure?!

Here's an interesting chart I found on RS created by ProgMatinee. Although Han's exclusive price was $55, I believe he's counting the regular versions of each.

BTW guys, I'm not posting this to discuss why prices are changing, just showing the facts. I'm well aware of the "don't like it, don't buy it" strategy out there, and I subscribe to it religiously. That doesn't change the fact the prices are rising...and maybe they should.

I mean, if you were selling something, would you sell it for what its worth or for what you could get for it? I think the answer is obvious.

Arrrgghhh, I'm such a wimp. All week I've been saying...no, no, no to this deal.
Just wandered by the SS site and saw the low quantity alert for this and bam! Made the purchase...

Ah, well. It is Star Wars after all. Here's hoping it's the fourth quarter of next year before a Hoth bundle is offered (which in truth I'd prefer over these guys)

Anyway...in case anyone is still on the fence regarding this bundle...

LOW QUANTITY ALERT

I can find reasons to justify the cost of each figure, not going to though. What I can say though is that I want the next figure to be an Imperial Officer. Any officer. If the price stays at $60, then we hit a price increase. Until then I will hover in the background of the price rise debate and watch intently.

There is no "debate" anymore. It could not be more evident that there has been a bottom-line price increase on these figures of at least $5-10 a unit.

I'll see your Low Quantity Alert and raise you a LOW INTEREST ALERT ;)

Just kidding. I know there are lots of people who love these guys, and I think that is great.:D
