I honestly don't see it. To me the ERTs are justified at the price. I don't want to start a debate or anything just stating my opinion. To me an Imperial Officer would require about the same amount of work Jedi Luke did, so they are comprable figures to me. If those two do not clock in at the same price, then, to me, there's been an increase.

BTW guys, I'm not posting this to discuss why prices are changing, just showing the facts. I'm well aware of the "don't like it, don't buy it" strategy out there, and I subscribe to it religiously. That doesn't change the fact the prices are rising...and maybe they should.

I mean, if you were selling something, would you sell it for what its worth or for what you could get for it? I think the answer is obvious.

Thanks for the chart Wor-Gar. And that is exactly what is bugging me. I have the feeling that to many people here are actually encouraging SSC to raise their prices. Or at least are not reacting on it. As far as I'm concerned, every $ saved can be the source for an other collectible. I don't really have the impression that the extra cash Sideshow is making goes into quality. I could be wrong. But you are right Wor-Gar, if SSC knows that they can get a lot more cash out of this, they would be stupid not to do so.

I'll see your Low Quantity Alert and raise you a LOW INTEREST ALERT ;)

Just kidding. I know there are lots of people who love these guys, and I think that is great.:D

:rotfl

LOW INTEREST is what we're all going to seeking for loans if this collection keeps growing at this rate and expense...

:lol

I do think there's been a price increase. And I don't think its unreasonable. $10? No biggie.

And I fully expect the "armored" characters will come in at around $74.99. And I'll pay it. I'll just be more selective at that price. Commander Cody, yes. Random clone trooper, no.

No problem, Alice.

But I'm not so sure SS is reacting to anyone's comments here in as far as raising prices. I'm sure that our purchasing power is what is driving the increase. Lots of people mention the price increase, but we all go ahead and buy the stuff anyway.

It's what you say: a higher demand justifies higher prices. To a certain extend. The limit is different for every collector. But there are limits.

I think you may be right. And they may already be seeing that with Plo (reg still available) and the Endor guys (we'll soon see).

Only sales will tell.

Come on now we all know that a Star Wars License is a License to print money. The number of fans out there Worldway will allow products to sell. It seems not matter what the item or price is they sell. Hasbro has pretty much proven that point over the years by putting out the same items over and over with a new box or lil item and they fly off the shelves. I can only think of one product that does better and thats oil.

Home page says:

This item is going to sell out today, so don't miss your opportunity to place your pre-order now!

I thought they were guessing it would be available for a few days, so if it sells out in 24 hours or less, it looks like they are more popular than we expected.

I don't collect the 12" figs much, but don't you assume that if there continues to be disappointment (or the reality) of the proto to production pieces that interest could really wane?!

Yes, of course.

But so far, the real dissatisfaction has come from the pictures supplied. Usually, once in hand, most of the naysayers turn coat and love the figure. I hope Aragorn will be the same.

Looks like there are around 60 sets left. I'll be anxious to see the numbers. Wander if they split the ES 50/50 with the set and the PPO orders or if the set orders will form a basis for the total ES?? Has that question been addressed yet, haven't really been keeping up with every post.

Sounds like the pieces included in the bundle will be a part of the larger edition size, and the sales of the bundles will influence the final number, which won't be announced until the individual pieces are up for order, or soon after.

I beleive Dusty said they would be handled sort of like the Comic Con orders where the orders between Comic Con and the site PPOs are combined for the overall edition size. This time it would be the bundles plus the PPOs dictate the overall size for the ERTs.

Wow Im amazed at how fast these have gone now and to think from what people where saying they would be lucky to sell 100 of each.:lol
I wonder how many others who where saying no way are now ordering these.

Sideshow should do the ordering just like this for every troop set they do.

Dusty do you know if you can combine gift cards to make one purchase.

BTW 30 more combos left

Not to speak for Dusty (or Sideshow), but I asked them the same question directly and got a "no" answer. Only 1 gift card - per promotion - per account. And you cannot combine them. If I am wrong then i was misinformed.
