How about Sideshow. Their warehouse will have these in their collection for years to come!

First thing first, you don't know that for sure. Second thing, weather they came out now or came out later, you still wouldn't have liked them. Only reason I canceled is because I didn't expect these to be shipping now. There was no 30 day notice and they werent even in the newsletter as comming in 30 days until last night.

You do know that the opinions of a few silly Star Wars fans on this message board don't dictate what Sideshow decides to make. Just because you want some Stormtroopers instead doesn't mean that no one wants Endor troops and they should've never made them. I'm sure there's plenty of collectors on OSW that are more then happy Sideshow made these guys. They approached the Military of Star Wars line in the tradition of the usual Military 1:6 figures that have been the foundation of this hobby.

Actually this is way I feel - Im more excited about troop building than much else in this line -- other than the dioramas and such (ex. the throne and the chess set). I know they'll make the core characters - what excites me is the move away from the norm! The only thing that would have made these better would have been face sculpts of the real extras. Maybe we'll get those with the hoth troopers or tant. IV... I sure hope so.

I just canceled mine. :monkey4

I'll take Irish's advice and kick my SWCS. :lol

To spend lots of $$ on something you don't even like or want but feel you "have" to have is a pretty irrational and unhealthy thing, imho.
That does make a lot of sense.

I still think they are cool but in the end I just couldn't wing them.

Well...the snow is nearly gone here...so, unless these guys show up soon & I can get 'em up to the mountains, it's gonna be some pine-oriented "Endor"-style shots when they arrive....

And on the "dump 'em / keep 'em" vibe that pulsing throught this thread right now...my take on that is...I'm pleased with the variety of stuff Sideshow is putting out there in this line so far. There have been a few curve balls (that chess set threw me, especially with none of the "players" on the near horizon) and for the first entry in the "Militaries..." line, I'll admit, the Endor Troopers would not have been my first choice, but....I am looking forward to examining and enjoying the detail these guys are sure to be packed with.

And like screamingmetal mentioned, "They approached the Military of Star Wars line in the tradition of the usual Military 1:6 figures that have been the foundation of this hobby."....this was a line/style of figure that didn't start with movie or comic properties, but with Military figures (even Hasbro with good ole' GI Joe)....

Would we like to see Imp Officers, Hoth Troopers (YES!!!!) and armored characters in this line? You bet....but I'm still interested in enjoying this first entry in a line that will have many more

Death Star Trooper - Rebel Blockade Trooper! Tuskins - those would have been good starters
:chew :emperor
