Personally, I would never buy them and think they're a waste. But if your a completest and really love the oufits I guess its a worthy investment. Basically, If you like them get them, if you dont I'd keep your cash for more important characters/figures from the line, as there are no doubt to be many.

Frankly I'm more excited about these than most of the other figures we have on preorder(hell, all) right now. I look forward to upgrading them with better bodies, maybe kitbashing some more. Hopefully the lack of interest will lead to ebay retailers parting out the generic release one, so I can pick up more gear. They're not my favorite soldiers by far, but I still think they're fairly cool looking.

Yikes...two expensive 1:6 items one after another (Jabba, now the E-bundle) with nary a warning (well, yeah it was in this weeks' newsletter on the "next 30 days" list but when you have an email saying "next 10 days"...well, even a thick-headed bloke like myself can do that math),,,I'm ok with it, but....where's Boussh & Plo? Didn't they PPO before these guys?

Yes, they did PPO before, at Least Boussh, she was back in early August just after SDCC. I think the troopers being more generic facilitated their quicker release, less scrutiny from the collectors, where known characters are going to get examined from top to bottom, plus with the lightsaber and what seems to be a cloak change on Plo, that could delay production and who knows what happened to Boussh with her harder armor elements.

I was kind of shocked when I saw that they were shipping in 10 days. I cant believe that they are already out. I just hope we dont get notices today for Leia and Plo. We would really have no preorders left if they ship in a hurry. I just hope April doesnt become like last September.

My problem is I have every 12" SW Exclusive to date. Do I cancel the lameness of the bundle and not possess the complete line? Hmmmmm.... decisions, decisions.

I'm in the same situation. That's the main reason why I'm keeping these dorks. The look nice but are complete nobodies, and that makes them pretty much pointless...

Seriously, the day you guys can kick the need to be a "completist" you will feel so much better. It's liberating, like beating any other addiction.

And I'm convinced that what it is (SWCS)... an addiction.

To spend lots of $$ on something you don't even like or want but feel you "have" to have is a pretty irrational and unhealthy thing, imho.

I'm not judging here, by the way. I can empathize. I used to be a SWSC sufferer. Happy to say I've been "sober" now for 7+ years. ;)

It's just a shame, though, that Lucasfilm and almost all of the licensees take advantage of this widespread syndrome.

There are a lot of characters in SW that could be classified as nobodies.

I know to well the dangers of being a completest and Irish is right. Sometimes having to have them all is soooo tiring- it wears you down. Being a completest too often ruins the joy of collecting. I know that it is a hard habit to break but it can lead to a better understanding of what you are all about and why you started in the first place.

And the Endor Rebel Troopers would be at or near the top of that list, compounded by their utterly Non-Star Wars look.

Exactly. I have so much more fun collecting now that I am "free". I just pick and choose what I want.

Also, I learned that true compulsion collecting and being a completist also adds to another dreaded "C" word: CLUTTER. Seriously, I look at lots of SW collections now (still have friends who buy almost everything) and it gives me a headache. It just looks like a bunch of junk to me now. :(

And, to me, the more stuff you have the less you start to appreciate the individual items. The collection itself becomes a singular beast and starts to control the collector, instead of the other way around.

As you can tell, this is a pretty soapbox subject to me. ;)

And that's one thing I can't stand. It's why I have really started to focus on what I really want and have moved other things out of my collection. I have never liked things that look cluttered and unorganzied at all...that's just me. I don't mind having many pieces, but they need a nice display and not to be all cluttered up and jammed in somewhere.

Less = More.

Clutter is the devil! Some people may like it but man, too much stuff in one space gives me a headache.

Having to have them all is so frustrating. Whether it be little action figures you drive around town for hours looking for or bigger items you missed and now have to pay through the nose to get. All I am saying is, you have a choice.

I agree whole heartedly I was a completeist of the 12" and 3 3/4" Hasbro Star Wars line back in the Nineties. And after a while it turned from a hobby into a job. Trying to find this "rare" item, driving here and there to find it, paying three times more than it was worth, and a few months later there were "millions" of these "rare" items on the shelves, it did wear you down. It actually made me miserable. I'm no longer a completeist and buy just what I really like, it's liberating and i enjoy the hobby a hell of a lot more.

I could not be a compleitist of the 3 3/4 figures as that would be a job. Collecting all the SS 1:6th though to me is as fun as anything really. I order them online, get a great item, great service, and it comes to my door. Nice!!

I was single and just out of college and was making a few bucks and I got hooked. Let me tell you what a waste of money that was! When i finally sold them off, I got close to peanuts for them. As I was selling them off i couldn't believe how many of them were JUNK, with dumb "variations" like a hand and color and Blah, blah, blah.

I too enjoy Sideshow's service, because as you said, it comes to your door!

I agree with JLCMSU. I quit those small Star Wars figures for the 1/6 scale a long time ago. Now that Sideshow has the liscence we get better quality great outfits, and we don't get multiple variations of the same figure like the millionth version of Vader or Luke. The Rebel troopers were never a buy for me from the start. I couldn't see myself paying almost $200 for scenery.
