Yeah because the 2+ weeks off during holidays plus the month or more off during summer are not nearly enough.

We don't get the summer off--- we're not paid for the summer. Our salary is spread out over the full twelve months but we're only paid for ten. And of course everyone wants to be a teacher in July--- I don't see a big line around February/March.

Wow nice to see a few teachers--I'm going into teaching and will be doing student teaching next year (or internship depending which is better). At least I know I'll still be able to afford collecting!

I taught for a few years befor ebecoming a nurse. It's a great field, but you gotta be able to shake it off at the end of the day or it will burn you out. Have fun with the student teaching.

Wow I know many teachers who would disagree including my father. Does you paay grade say you get paid #xxxx per month for 10 months or does it say $xxxxx per year? And last regardless if you get paid or no its still time off, guess what there is a such thing of unpaid vaction. If you don't want that unpaid vacation teach summer school.

Sorry I know very well how things work. I know the system better them a lot of currect teachers trust me I am advising my friends who teach all the time. I would love to teach but I would have to go back to school and but I would probally be in trouble a lot I don't have much pataince when trying to show people things thats why I work on computers. And yes my favorite word is MOVE

Teachers get the summer OFF. You're paid for 12 months. How you choose for the checks to be distributed is up to you. Plus you get more holidays and vacations than any other profession, so don't get on that high horse. I've been there.

Good luck. I was going to teach before a smalll snaffu got me denied from the program. So now I added a minor and will be looking at law school.

LOL that's funny, I dropped the idea of Law School because teaching was more appealing to me. Funny how that works lol. I would add a minor if I didn't already have a minor and two majors already!

I love teaching. Making an impact on the world even if it's a very small one is somethinig I've always wanted to do. So this is my way of TRYING to do that. Even if it's just one kid that makes everything worth it.

As far as pay I get paid over the entire 12 months.

Not to derail the current topic of conversation, but I think its neat having a Star Wars figure based on a Sideshow employee. I'm halfway tempted to try to get one of these, and if I do the one modeled after Brant is likely the one I would go for.

And if anyone says they wouldn't buy a character based on Dusty, they are lying. It's too bad she doesn't seem to post as often as she used to. Or maybe I'm just in the wrong threads.

Well you've been in the threads of late, can you honestly say there's been any productive conversations of the past few days for the most part, 20 threads about Boba PF and the personal attacks that went on in every one of them, I'm sure someone of Dusty's character wouldn't want any part of that mess.
