I have to agree with Rory. I understand your bugged, and I guess I would be too a little mainly cause of the styrofoam, but it really doesn't look that bad. I would just be thrilled that the actual bust came in great shape, cause it could be alot worse than just the box having a little damage. Just my opinion too though, and I wish you luck in working it out. :D

I think you are over-reacting. Honestly, i took a look at your pictures and to me it looks as though the shipping styrofoam broke from impact which is reasonable considering how heavy these busts are. Plus, the shipping box could have fallen on that smashed corner and since they are both different types of boxes, maybe they handled the impact differently. One stayed smashed and the other kind of crumpled back to normal.

On top of all this, your bust arrived in great shape. That is awesome! Usually it's the other way around with these things. Man you are sweatin it for nothing in my opinion. No offense though. :lol :D

Ya, it usually is the other way around...in this case it wasnt. "People" are always complaining..when your the person looking on. However, lets assume you were placed in the same situation...do you honestly think you wouldnt be let down just a little? Especially considering this is the 2nd time this has happend now in the matter of a month. Yes, im glad the bust came in good condition but I didnt pay for the box to come damaged ether. Your also completely overlooking the fact the outer box doesnt have the same damage as the inner box. Which means the damage existed on the inner box before they shipped it out. My frustration is compounded by the fact this almost looks intentional (they knew about it, but shipped it anyway). I could live with a crumpled corner on the box, but the fact that theirs a 3-4 inch gash in the box and the foam is broken doesnt sit well with me.
Think of it like this, you walk into a dealership you buy a bran new car....you go pick it up the day its ready. But they deliver it to you with a 4 inch scratch in the door...would you just blow it off and drive away? or would you ask them to fix it?......same concept here.

Ps: No offense taken..

Chris

They havent given me anything yet...lose the attitude.

Chris

I apologize for the attitude, but sometimes i cant help it. Seriously man, cm'on. If they would like to partially refund you for the box because its damaged that's a HUGE plus for you. Even in the after market, nobody will care about the dent in the box, all they will care about is that the actual box comes with it. I think we all forget that packaging is made to protect the item. Your item was well protected as it arrived perfect. A little knit-picky in my opinion

Hmmmm , I seem to remember a thread about someone's 1:1 Arnold bust having a little black mark on the nameplate and someone was all butthurt over it. Hmmmm , who was that guy.:lol:rotfl:lol

Hmmmmm, I think a scratch and sloppy glue job on a $900 bust is a little different. If it makes it any better, the box my Arnold bust was packaged in , came apart at one side as well. I just never posted it as that was the least of my worries.

Hey if the bust was damaged, i would say rip side show a new ******** but, just the box...Your right though...i was all butthurt over it:lol:lol

Just ribbin ya bro. I think we all are a bit anal about our collectibles.:D

Sorry to hear about your problems with the box Atheris666. At least SS will give you some refund. But will they still give you a new box? That would be more important if you ever want to sell your bust or even if moving it to another location.

Thanks man, SS hasnt confirmed anything yet really...they said they will try to find me a new box (however long that may take is a shot in the dark). If they cant find one they said they would refund a portion of my money...but they havent confirmed any numbers on that ether, she just said "portion". That could be $20 for all I know....so everthing is still up in the air and it may be for a while. Their still looking into how they charged my card $200 to much 2 months ago for my 1:1 Iron man bust. I paid $1100 with shipping as charged to my credit card, when they refunded it I only got back $900???
Everything is a headache....

Chris

Good luck! For me the box would be more important than a refund especially because I'll move to a new house later 2009. I will put all my collectibles in their original boxes and only then I'll move them to the new location...

Opened my Bd bust today----another awesome piece---thats the problem--every piece I get is awesome--I may sell this one and wait for clean bust:banghead
