Good luck! For me the box would be more important than a refund especially because I'll move to a new house later 2009. I will put all my collectibles in their original boxes and only then I'll move them to the new location...

SS reps email me today with this:

Dear Chris,

Thank you for taking the time to contact our Returns Department and provide photos of the box damage to your item. Unfortunately, we do not have replacement boxes available for this item.
As such, we would like to extend to you the offer of a $40 partial reimbursement to compensate for the flaws to your statue.

You believe that?...the damage to the box will maybe take $100-$150 away in resale value and they are offering me $40 (pocket change) as compensation. What an instult, I knew they were going to come back at me with this...just throw some money at the situation and maybe it will go away. I contacted them late Friday afternoon about this, they were closed over the weekend and then contacted me this afternoon (Monday) with this offer. At what point do you think anyone actually went actively looking for a replacment box??....my guess is NO ONE. I'd rather send back the piece and the box at this point and get ANOTHER replacment.

Sideshow, please give us a 1:1 T-600 Endoskull to add to our collections.

One from T:TSCC wouldn't hurt either.

Chris , if it's any consolation regarding resale value it is more important that the actual ENDOBUST is flawless over the condition of the box. I usually don't get involved in complaint threads but damn bro you just might end up sending back a PERFECT ENDOBUST with a bit of a damaged box and end up with replacement ENDOBUST with some flaws and a perfect box. Bro , nothing is perfect. I am sure that no matter what the collectible , you or anyone else can find some flaws in it. If I were you I would take the $40 bucks and enjoy your perfect ENDOBUST and put the box in the closet and forget about it. Quote: "THAT'S WHAT I THINK ":D Andrew "DICE" Clay

Atheris666,
Did you get a clean one? I'll buy it from you, busted box and all for whatever you paid for it, including shipping. Then I'll pay you to ship it to me. Then you can make an order/wait list for another (if they let you have 2). Just trying to help. I'll sell some of my collection, but I'll PayPal immediately. LMK. I will not re-sell it, I'll just keep it. I should have a rainbow version anyway. :)

I'll raise that offer by $1...:monkey3

I can understand what your saying and I've considered that...but I cant see these busts coming with many flaws. I mean their pretty straightforward construction with some black paint for weathering..the odds should be in my favour to get another mint piece. Then again, after seeing their 1:1 Iron man I guess anything is possible.
I just dont see why its so dam hard for them to get another box. If I send mine back bust and box. They will have a box they cant use, but have a PERFECT bust which im sure they will then send back out to someone else in another PERFECT BOX.....while at the same time sending me a new one in another PERFECT BOX. So why not just send me another ^^^^ing box to begin with?? and skip all the BS in between....it blows my mind how cheap and lazy some companies are. Especially when they have a customer who now has over $5000+ worth of stuff on order. How do you treat a customer like that?

The creed is greed and thats every companies underlieing moto...

Sorry friend its not the chrome version I got the BD one...see post #'s 910 & 913.

That's cool, I was just trying to help. I may get a clean/chrome one (again) some day. I was only going for the cost amount since it would mean less of my personal collection to sell to pay for it. I'm happy I won't have to do that now.

If I had a perfect box, I'd ship it to you for free. However, the strofoam for my BD bust came in so badly, that I had to use duct tape to put it back together. The styrofoam they used for these sucks. If they used that grey colored type it would hold up.

I honestly dont want to part with the bust I just want a new box. I KNOW this is not hard for SS to do, they are just trying to save a buck on shipping for themselves. I live in Canada, so if they were to ship me an empty box they would have to pay almost the same amount as if their was a bust in it. Fedex go's by cubic weight not necessarily the ACTUAL weight of the package....thus costing SS to pay $100+ to ship me an empty box. Im almost positive that this is their reasoning behind their half ass'ed offer...and I know that box was damaged before they sent it out. I work for a huge corporation myself and they will penny pinch wherever they can at the customer or the employees expense. Sh** always rolls down hill...

Well I think I would take the $40 myself, and just repair the box and styrofoam, which I don't think would be too hard. I mean maybe they really don't have a spare box to send, I don't see why there's a need to automatically call them lazy and assume they didn't even look. I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but I just don't think they even had to offer a refund at all considering it wasn't the actual product that was damaged. Just all my opinion of course, just do what you think is best and what would make you feel better. Good luck man. :duff

Well think about it, I spoke to them at the end of the day Friday when they were probably packing up to go home. They were closed on the weekend so it wouldnt have even been a thought to anyone working there. I then call them up Monday at 12pm...a few hours into their work day when they gave me a response saying the couldnt find a box. Do you honestly think in that few hours time period of "actual work time" they really went out of their way to look for a box?...im guessing it was way down at the bottom of their "to do" list and already had their offer ready to go way back from FRIDAY. Its a joke and they will exploit the fact I live so far away from them. Thats why their offering me pocket change as compensation. If I lived right next door to their office I can bet I would never get a shippment with problems....cause they would have to deal with me complaining right at their door step. All major companies do this on a daily basis, I see it every day where I work...and I work for a company that makes 2 billion dollers anually its not like they have a shortage of cash. Yet they gouge people at every opportunity....SS is no different. How else do you explain the poor quality of their products recently??...yet they still charge full pop for them and get away with it. I bet you products like their Carnotaurus piece coming soon will be a huge hack job when its released. Collectors will yet again be let down by their slow decline in QC and product detail. Not to mention one more piece I will have to return...

Chris

Well I think it's just a bit harsh to start tearing a company apart that has had nothing but great customer service, when the problem in question is just a box. I mean I know it's important, but I don't think it warrants putting them down or going after products that aren't even released yet, especially when there's people looking forward to them, including me. I just don't think it's too hard to imagine that maybe they never made any spare boxes, and they just have one box for each product. So maybe they really don't have any lying around to send out. And you could take that $40 and get yourself a custom box for the Endo, I know it wouldn't be the product box, but at least it would be a new box with the same dimensions. Again I'm not trying to start anything, just stating an opinion. Like I said, good luck man, and I hope everything works out the way you want.

Too bad SS wasn't more interested in helping s customer this time. As I said before the box is important if you want to resell it or if you move. If you don't consider the better part, since your bust is in perfect condition :)

Just because a company is known for great customer service doesnt mean it cant start going down hill at some point (take BELL for example). Yes, SS does have some good customer service credit behind them but if they screw it up customers will hold it against them to get it back up to standard...and when they do customers will expect and hold them to a higher standard than it was before. Im not bashing the company, im simply pointing out what alot of us "CUSTOMERS" are seeing and have been getting lately with regards to recent product releases and service. I get frustrated because when I bring my concerns to this company, they are usually met with band aid resolutions. The box may not be a concern to most people, but in my opinion the box is part of the piece...especially when it costs $500. The box is just as much a collectible as the bust is....
Im not taking your opinion in a hostal way at all...and I hope no one is seeing my thoughts as hostal ether. Im just stating my views and concerns as a consumer and a customer....as im sure we all have at some point or another.

My mistake, I just went back to look at the satment to make sure I had the shipping correct. I read the wrong statment I was actually looking at my 1:1 Iron man shipping invoice...your right its actually around $50. My statment says $42 for shipping to be exact. My apologies for the mix up..

Chris

I was thinking of selling my BD bust for a small amount over what it cost me plus shipping to new home---but then I looked at this Bad Boy again and thought NO WAY---this is freakin awesome----
