I must admit that was a hard watch. I had to watch that with my wife's family which is a big family. All Spurs supporters :yess: :lol

Hopefully that'll light a fire under certain arses. No pun int...well yeah, pun intended. :D

:lol :lol

On a side. How great was it that Athletico won La Liga. I thought they were going to blow that. Really hope they turn Real over now in the Champ Lge Final

I really hope so! I hope this helps to change the mentality that has dogged the club for too many years now. No denying it though, Wenger needs to spend big this summer still. A world class striker and a defensive midfielder is a must! If they lose Sagna then of course he will need replacing as well.

We definitely need a quality striker & some pace & steel in midfield but striker wise I don't know who we should go for? I think Remy would be a good buy but we would still need a star striker. I feel big teams need 3 strikers & we just have one at the moment. Sanogo doesn't count, I've not yet seen him do one good thing

Championies!!!

:fest:fireworks:fest:yess:

Not bad for a club who pay their own way, are not tens of millions of pounds in the red, and who don't need an Arab sheikh or a Russian Oligarch to bankroll them.

Expert in failure ' Pssh '

Stick that in your pipe Jose :lol

Congrats to the Gunners... Im glad that the only EPL team whose games I used to follow because they were the ones who played the most fluid pleasing way has won, and finally people doubting Wenger can be made quiet for sometime. I always thought he was a great coach, who thought of not just the game played in the field but also in the administrative level!

And the Specially Obnoxious One can shut up.

Hopefully now Arsenal have weathered the worse of paying off there stadium. They can go out & strengthen there team & not sell any key players & get back to how they were 10 years ago.

It's going to be really tuff next year getting top 4, let alone winning it. Man City are strong & are going to strengthen there weak point which is there defence. Looks like Chelsea are going to get the Strikers they need. Man Utd will have a good Manager & money to spend. Everton & Spurs will be stronger next season IMO. So it's vital Arsenal reinforce that squad because it's way to thin & lacking pace & firepower

I think people are justified in their doubt after 9 years. Winning the FA is great, but that by no means let's him off the hook for another 9 years. Winning the league and champions league is where it's at for any manager, football player and fan.

United will certainly have money to spend, overall revenue increased by 26% to £115.5 million in the last financial quarter alone and once the shirt sponsorship deal with Chevrolet starts next season that'll be another £50-£60 million a year.

If they're willing to give a useless muppet like Rooney 300 grand a week to give the ball away then they're not going to think twice about offering similarly stupid sums to decent players to get round the lack of the Champions League.

And if the new manager is Louis Van Gaal, it'll be someone with a good enough reputation that it can only help attract decent players, a definite step up from the "David Who?" question that rang round Europe last summer.

Rooney is a good player, a really good player. The only shinning light for Utd last season really, actually De Gea was awesome last season.
Van Gaal will get the best out of Rooney though. To many average midfielders at Utd for a club of that kind of stature. Even RVP in the few games he played look completely lost last season.
I still blame SAF for the mess there in. He wasn't planning for the future & the team he left behind was aged

Rooney was last consistently good 3-4 years ago, then he started to believe his own hype and his ego ran away with him.

Last season he played well for just long enough to get himself a new contract and then he disappeared again.

He's far from being the first player that should follow Ferdinand and Vidic out the door, but he should definitely be one of them.

The rebuild will take a couple of years, lots of money and a manager with a big club mentality and a clear direction on how he wants his teams to play.

Louis Van Gaal fits the bill very well and even if he achieves nothing but getting United playing nice football again, it'll be a step in the right direction.

Louis Van Gaal confirmed as United manager :clap

Ryan Giggs as his number 2....not so sure about this.

I've been reading various quotes from people who've worked with LVG and he seems to be a LOT like Fergie....he's a bit of a dictator, favors an attacking style of football and likes to give young players a chance.

Giggs has also announced his retirement as a player. He made 963 appearances and won 34 trophies including all 13 of Fergie's Premier League wins.

Giggs has finally retired then? Thank god, he was starting to look silly in a football kit.

In the last few years his influence on games was considerably lesser but his passing was still better than most and he still showed the occasional flash of his younger self by making the occasional dribble past players before delivering a killer pass.....something that the likes of Young and Valencia never do.

Now that Adnan Januzaj has emerged it seems a successor has been found, but they need someone on the other side too and I'm intrested to see if Wilfried Zaha gets the chance he should have been given last season.

Great appointment. The World Cup is bad timing though. I am not sure how he's going to focus on the task in hand with Holland and yet try to rebuild Man Utd this summer.

He's an old horse. He can manage both. He knows for sure this Holland team is not going to be able to do anything this World Cup with all the infighting in the squad.

EDIT: I see as expected Luis Enrique has been made new Barca coach. Funny, they must be thinking lightning will strike twice and another Pep Guardiola, Player - Captain - Youth Coach to head coach fairy tale will happen again.

I expect potential signings have already been identified during the negotiations and he'll leave it to the club to try and close the deals whilst he's with Holland.

Which is a slight cause for concern as the new chief executive didn't exactly do his job very well last summer, the last thing United need is another pointless chase for someone they'll never get like the Fabregas fiasco and they need another panic buy like Fellaini even less.

Infighting always seems to be Holland's downfall which is a shame as they've had so many great players and their football style can be great to watch.
