The good news for United might be continuing as various places are reporting a deal for Toni Kroos has been agreed with Bayern Munich.

I don't want to get too excited in case it's media BS but if they pull that off it'll be proof that Van Gaal is the type of guy that can attract big names even without European football next season and that the Glazers are serious about splashing the cash to rebuild the squad.

Both countries have terrible records with pens at full International level. Could be a long shoot-out.

Holland too are pretty horrible at shoot outs.

About the Yaya situation, yes we loved him as he was a fantastic player. However he left Barca for this same 'respect' reason, His agent had called Guardiola mad for choosing Busquets over Yaya. And Yaya didnt feel important enough because he was being used by Guardiola only as a sub and when Guardiola decided to play him as a ball playing central defender. Which Javier Mascherano, who was bought in his place, did without complaining.

Luis Enrique might have/want Yaya in his promised 'new Barca' but considering he too is very fond of choosing to promote youth players over 'outsiders' -as he calls them, and with Yaya's age, I think its unlikely he will want him. Also Alex Song too will be sold for sure.

Looks like Yaya will be leaving. That's good news for the rest of the Prem. Probably been City's best player in the last couple of seasons. What with their transfer budget being capped at 49 million, maybe City wont be the force they have been in recent seasons?

No idea? At least your team dodged a bullet because they were being strongly linked with Luiz.

As a personality I really like him but as a defender he's not that good. His positioning is actually terrible which is quite important when defending

The problem with transfers like this is your going to get clubs saying if Luiz is worth 50 million then so & so must be worth 200 million etc

Luiz is actually pretty good when playing as Defensive Midfielder. But as a Centre Back he is too crazy and erratic.

He predominantly plays as a central defender, and every time I have seen him play, he is awful!

Alan Hansen smashes him most weeks on MOTD. He is very comfortable on the ball and his distribution is good, other than that he's pretty ordinary IMO.
