Ha yeah, it is bit of an odd expression for Jack, you'd thought he was a baddie if you didn't know the films but I think that sculpt is great, I'm going to stick with HT like I said before, I've ordered EB GoD figure so I'll see what I think of that before ordering anything else from them.

I'm going with HT for now until we see what else the EB version comes with. I think the HT sculpts are better, but I like the look of the clothes on the EB version more. The jacket on the HT version, from the little that we've seen anyway looks like the same jacket they used with the AWE figure which wasn't entirely accurate. But of course, once we see more pics, the clothing issue can be sorted. I also love the real cloth bandanna on the EB version, give is such a more real feel to it

EDIT: also the hanging chin braids look to be more natural on the EB version. the HT one's are clearly separate piece glued into place

I still think this sculpt is better than HT's but obviously when it comes to everything else I think HT will blast Enterbay.

Re: ENTERBAY :pirates of the Caribbean

It's a EB x Medicom release so we will see a great sculpt on a small and fragile body like their Luke Skywalker and that other Asian character.

If this was something EB was doing alone it would be a million times better.
Sorry, when Medicom is involved in something like this you know it's destined to fail.

well from the guys who bought the new Medi Boba Fett, the new body is taller and more durable than the previous ones. So, on that note, I don't think body will be an issue

I don't see why Enterbay didn't just try to get the lisence to all these new movies instead of leeching on to Medicom. Besides the lisences that Medicom has, they have crap bodies, crap sculpt, and crap clothing, and overall crap pricing.

I have a feeling that 'enterbay' is really one or two guys. A sculptor/artist combo with maybe one or two business people attached. That's why the releases take so long. They probably need to secure financing and production schedules and what not... Medicom and HT is a full fledged company. That's why they have the great liscenses. They have the infrastructure to put out figures of quality in a high enough clip AND have distribution deals set up (like with Sideshow)... so what happens is that Enterbay (mom & pop) needs to partner with a larger established company (medicom) to get the choice liscenses. This has an added effect, besides letting enterbay work on bigger liscenses,....it jacks up the price big time... by the time the liscensors (medi) and the liscensees (the studios) take their cuts the actual art/production company (in this case EB) is left with garbage.

Have to agree.

I was excited at an Enterbay Sparrow, I am deflated at an Enterbay/Medicom Ulitmate Fail crossover one.

But I thought Enterbay also had fragile bodies, no? And in fairness, we haven't seen a single production piece from this team-up yet. So who knows? Maybe the Ultimate Union (or whatever it's called) will result in awesome, high quality bodies to rival the True Type!

Yeah, I don't expect that to happen, but I wouldn't rush to judgment on these yet beyond what we can tell by the pics (i.e., proposed sculpts, paint work, articulation, clothing, accessories).

I've never owned a Medi figure, but aren't their bodies a lot smaller than the true types?

They are quite smaller and very fragile.

I feel like a broken record here but to all youse guys wondering about the medi body please read below...

from caparison pics the recently released Boba Fett by Medicom is about the same size as an SS 1/6 Stormtrooper if that is any further help in the doubts about the bodies

Enterbay might not be as big as HT, SS or Medicom but EB isn't some small time "mom and pop" set up like you're suggesting.

The reason (according to EB) for the delay of their products lately is problems with the manufacturing plant that handles production of their products.

They're not some little rinky-dink operation.

^^what Devil said...EB has had to change their manufacturing plant to somewhere else. I'm not even sure they have found a new place yet either, I just know that all/most of their products have been put on hold due to this problematic change
