Doesn't matter for me personally. I treat these as statues. Pose them with the accessories provided and leave them.

But for people who like to play with them then I can see a problem.

The HT's DX10 imho. I own both and even with PERS it's better at the very least in the paint department. I consider my EB a "mini Arnold' so you can imagine how good the DX is for me to give it such high praise.

But no one is forcing people to buy it. I think for the scale, the sculpt, the clothing and the paint, the price would be acceptable even without the mini gun, shirt and arm. The only nitpick I have is not including a damaged m79. That doesn't make sense to me.

I agree with this. Sometimes it would be better (even though I agree the choice of accessories were odd) to give less. I'm still a fan of PF's so once posed I treat these as something similar. Statues essentially.

I do remember when people where saying the original haggard HT t-800 was better though. So there are some people out there who think so...

I agree with you dude, 100%

I only have the MMS117 from HT's offerings, and then I thought the PERS looked really odd on the DX, not to mention I thought the sculpt was kinda soft. If it weren't for EB's BD version then I'd easily go with HT's but I think the sculpt and accuracy with the costume just goes more in favor of enterbays. The clean version is probably my favorite figure period, so I know I'll love this.

and that's the thing for me, it's not about being a fanboy, it's about which product I'M going to like best. I had a lot of issues with the mms117 and overall I wasn't satisfied. However, with EB's clean T-800, I have really no issues at all (except maybe having to tighten the screw for the loose arm)

HT clearly wins for accessories, but I think EB wins with sculpt and costume by a landslide. Then again, it's hard to truly compare because of the difference in canvas size

Just tell yourself standing at 18"+ tall with lifelike everything it is the best high detail statue you can buy. The bonus is that you can pose this statue

EB haven't said they've got the license for Rises, you would of thought they will do The Dark Knight suit though, I suspect they'll wait till Hot Toys have done theirs though

To be honest prices suck in general. $300 + shipping for a HT aint exactly the deal of the day.

I'm at that point now where I'd rather spend the extra cash to get something I'm in love with. Hence why I'm just about to buy the HD Bruce Lee.

1/4 scale does have a presence about it so I think it's worth the extra coin if your into that size grouping.

Put it this way, in a years time when people are flicking this for $600+ it won't seem like such a bad gig.

The latest group shots and packaging shots look amazing. They really should have included a 2nd non-BD bandolier but its probably too late now but nevertheless majorly looking forward to this. Seeing it in the box with the legendary foam insert somehow made this seem more real.

I think it's just sculpted plastic as far as I know.
