After seeing all those great shoots of the actual figure and hearing nothing but positive feedback about buying from timcent, I am about to pull the trigger.

If I am ordering from timcent, do I need to explicitly ask him to inspect the figure (i.e. joints, paint job, accessories) and write a lower value on the package?

Seems like he'll do it automatically from what I've heard.

Yes. The problem is, the price will escalate if you do not deal with them directly. To get some reasonable service from distributor we always have to pay a premium to ensure the figure is good. One of it is greed onEB side, e.g. EB sold 350$ to distributor, you think they will sell it at 375$? No item this price should warrant a profit above 50$-75$ per item.

Collector of such exp figure don't deserve such dilemma. instead EB want us to choose to gamble on bad service, or premium for better service. Which is **** to me.

Yep, that's Enterbay for you. Their figures are often problematic yet are also amazing works of art. If that's worth hundreds of dollars to you, then what's another $50-$100 to make sure you get one with no issues? That's probably what a lot of people are thinking anyway.

Can't agree enough. EB should close they sales/export department and focus on making good figures. stop teasing us with those cheap online purchase. :gah:

I think that's why Timcent has good feedback. I mean once you hit above the $300 mark, that's some serious collectible cash. Increments of $30 seems like small change for a 100% perfect complete piece. They do to me anyway.

It's an absolute joke though that you should have to do this. I love what EB do but I'd never recommend them to someone.

As you said, greed is definitely one of the reasons; EB is still a relatively new manufacturer and hasn't made nearly as much money as HT to be able to comfortably sit back and have a giant company like Sideshow take the reigns on their distribution. They probably want to make more money before doing that. HT partnered with Sideshow after, what, ten or eleven years?

Hot Toys just had their tenth anniversary in 2010, so it wasn't quite that long, but it was still a few years (I wanna say five) before they hooked up with Sideshow.

This could be true. HT started on army figures and slowly built up their reputation in mms line. Bought 10++ HT since 5yrs back, figure rarely have major issues other than those minor ones.

My BR joker still display perfectly after 5 yrs. That's trust to me...... Meanwhile for EB I already have issues with broken rubber body on GOD 3rd edition after owning it 1 yr. :thud:

some photos from user kdoudou 's review from bbs.actoys.net showing the figure with the endo arm from the first release, He also explain you can push the shoulder up to make it look better when you take it out of the box

Wow guys, seeing some fantastic pics of this amazing figure from those who are lucky enough to already have this in hand....congrats to you! Really interesting to see the use of the endo skeleton arm which was from the previous T-800 EB figure on the new BD figure...I do like that look as you'll be able to incorporate much better poses due to the fact you'll have an extra pair of hands so to speak. Its a case of trial and error and what you think suits him best once you have it hand...i'll certainly be trying it out...(Damn! I'd still like to get my hands on that chain that we saw in some pics a few pages back...for me that's the ultimate pose for this figure!)
I can also appreciate those comments regarding the weak application and consistency of the blood paint...it really could have been better in places, notably on the endo arm and chest area...but all in all, the figure really is proving to be another great representation of Arnie, possibly the best yet! :thud:

Sideshow sold their stuff for a long time, they didn't officially become their main North American distributor until one or two years back. That's why they now have free domestic shipping on most 1/6 orders.

Enterbay told me no real leather was used so now I'm looking to buy it from Europe preferably as to avoid import taxes. Anyone have any recommendations? Already checked OSB and shipping costs at 55 pounds ruins it for me.

These are my favourites of Armored_Berserk's shots. The headsculpt is just unbelievably believable. And the proportions are nailed. My nitpick about the BD arm is even fading. **** it, it never looked the same in any 2 shots in the movie anyway.

Based on pics literally my only remaining nitpick is the simple fact that they went with a seperated head and neck again.

easily the best headsculpt produced! :) :thud:

i've ordered from OSB and shipping is £15

No real leather? Could have fooled me. It looks the same as the first release. Better even.

I'd say synthetic leather is underrated because there are so many cheap and poorly made synthetic leathers out there that real leather becomes much more attractive. But if it's done right, you got yourself top quality leather. I have high-quality synthetic leather clothes/accessories which hold up very good and I really don't see the need for real leather.

haha, fair enough fella. Seems to be overcharging there a fair bit for that!

Yeah I know. :gah: I buy a lot of things from the UK, some bigger and heavier than this figure and never have I been charged over £40...

You have a little synthetic leather hat you wear, and a synthetic leather vest and some synthetic arm bands and pants and boots. I can see it all vividly now.
