I don't know why you guys don't use black foam to pack out Batman. You know it won't react with the rubber (as he was packed in it) it's black (generally a good thing for Batman) its lint free, and you can cut it, round it, do basically whatever you want with it in 2 minutes. Cotton will settle after a while into a hard lump. Foam won't and has some bounce to it.

:dunno

My entire Takara Bat is stuffed with cotton, and the cotton stays the same size as when you put it in there. I shred the stuff and put it in but by bit getting the exact shape I want. My fear with foam is that it seems like there would be a lot of trial and error with cutting and recutting pieces until it's the exact shape of the area you want to fill. With cotton, you just keep adding until the space is full. And then it's easy to massage it around from the outside if it needs tweaking. With foam, the only way you can tweak is if you take it out and recut it. :dunno

Sorry to hear that mate, thats ****. Are you gonna try and get a replacement? All of mine are exactly the same, but I got another set coming so i might not be so lucky second time around.

Regarding Jye's "Magnet Porn" fiasco. :) (lookin good now though, mate)
I tried something that does seem to work. Self adhesive strip magnet. Aah.. Jye you missed out on one type of magnet there.:lol
It's thin, its soft and you can cut it with a scissors. I shaped a small curve of it, slipped it in and the magnets attached anywhere I wanted. No more fumbling with internal magnets. I ordered a roll of new stuff to do a final mod on it, as the piece I used was just lying around the house.

Thought everybody had one shinny head.

And I like this magnet strip idea. Where can I find some?

Mag

do you have the cape sandwiched between 2 exterior cape magnets or do your clips have both magnets attached to each other on each clip.

I'm guessing you have the latter so that it looks like to clips actually have the medal rings underneath like with the real suit.

Which one boss.

3 magnets, layered like this:

1) Magnet under the rubber.
2) Rubber suit.
3) Magnet on top of the rubber.
4) Cape.
5) Clip with magnet built in.

At stage 3 he should look like this:

Then you drape the cape over the shoulders and stick the clips on top. Easy-peazy.

Looking good jye. You might want to twist his gauntlets out a little, and his right foot. ...and godammit snip that loose thread on his cape before Maglor gets in.
:lol

:lol Didn't notice the string, but, :lecture

Also, I like the gauntlet fins going along the back of the forearm rather than sticking out unnaturally to the sides.

:love Beautiful set-up.

Obviously if you are more comfortable with cotton then that's the way to go mags. But foam is very very simple and a bit more professional for padding. But it doesn't make a damn bit of difference if you can't see it and you get the result you want.:dunno

And no, not all the sets have a shiny head. None of mine were, maye Retaane migh jump in and tell us if he had any, in his four!

How would one go about asking for replacement parts.

And again, where did you get the magnet strips?

Depends who you purchased from?

Magnetic strip, I had some already as I mentioned, you know the soft type used on card fridge magnets? You get photo backing and adhesive versions. Since then I ordered a roll of new stuff on eBay. Very cheap.

I have one glossy one as well snd the other 2 more matted, although it appears glossy in pics.
My glossy one is the one looking to the left. The least glossy one is the one looking straight.

This 1 glossy thing is something that will really bug me, it makes me even more happy I ordered from OSB.

Maglor's pics are nothing short of stunning, I'll admit. The figure really does look great. Bill's attitude gets on my nerves as well, but that's not the primary reason I'm slinking away from his products. With me, it's 99% the fear of having to go through another Rambo fiasco. I don't want to spend so much money for a defective figure (especially one in a rubber suit where joint problems and potential breakages aren't as obvious as on a scantily-clad character) only to wait weeks for customer service to give me the okay to send the item back for repair -- which will then take yet another few weeks (or months) and I still don't know if the figure will even be properly taken care of. For all I know, I could've gone through all that trouble for a duct tape fix. Yeah, thanks Bill. I'm glad I needed to ship your product halfway across the globe for something a five year-old would've done to fix a rotocast in twenty seconds.

(I haven't received my Rambo yet so I don't know exactly what they're doing to it, but EB has attempted a duct tape fix on their MIB figures, which is why I felt it necessary to mention.)

Bill's attitude is really just the cherry on top of the cake. I could live with his cockiness if he was able to back it up, but right out of the gate, he failed. And when I gave EB the opportunity to set things right, they failed yet again. In more ways than one. If their CS was more on top of things, I would've given them a second chance. It just seems like you have to pray for a perfect figure when you order from them because if one thing goes wrong, everything goes wrong.

I wasn't aware of the issues on Rambo, so what's wrong with the Rambo figure ?

I have one but I don't have any issues with mine.

Ok, back home, had to go pick up my new shottie. :yess:

Anyways,

Mag, thanks for the 5 stage magnet explanation. :hi5:

I have mine the same way but I can't see the metal under the clip which makes it look like there is a metal ring underneath, I thought you made yours look that way.

All I see is cape under my clip.

I figured we need to inject pics in discussion cant have enough of this figure under the lighting and camera (Delicious)

Hey guys I want to pick up this figure but the only thing I dont like is the chest is too flat. Its should be more defined more pumped up like the original. Is there a way I can add cotton or padding into the chest area to make it look screen accurate?

It's already padded underneath the suit but if you want to add more, just slide more cotton down from the collar, you have easy access.

It's sad that the 16mp point and shoot camera I'm getting next week will be a huge upgrade for me! :slap

Anyways, here he was before clip mod:
