Which reminds me, I haven't commented on the cowls yet.


The cowl that looks straight ahead is absolutely unusable. It's absurdly glossy. Wish it had been one of the sideways looking ones. The only way I'll ever use it is if it's repainted. Shame really.


Also, the seam that runs between the ears is pretty bad on two of the cowls. That's how I ended up using the cowl I am. It's a nice matte, and it has the best seam.

Two of my cowls came warped, but once in place they flatten out fine.

Sorry to hear that mate, thats ****. Are you gonna try and get a replacement? All of mine are exactly the same, but I got another set coming so i might not be so lucky second time around.

Regarding Jye's "Magnet Porn" fiasco. (lookin good now though, mate)
I tried something that does seem to work. Self adhesive strip magnet. Aah.. Jye you missed out on one type of magnet there.
It's thin, its soft and you can cut it with a scissors. I shaped a small curve of it, slipped it in and the magnets attached anywhere I wanted. No more fumbling with internal magnets. I ordered a roll of new stuff to do a final mod on it, as the piece I used was just lying around the house.

do you have the cape sandwiched between 2 exterior cape magnets or do your clips have both magnets attached to each other on each clip.

I'm guessing you have the latter so that it looks like the clips actually have the medal rings underneath like with the real suit.

Yeah, there are actually 2 threads on the bottom left and right tips of the cape.

Will definately be snipping them.

There are 2 things still bugging me about my clip/cotton padding mod.

I don't like how the tip of the cape pokes out from under the clip on the front.

And, did I place the cotton on the right spot in the shoulders, oh and you're right they do become hard balls.

Looks pretty good from these pics Jye, I honestly would recommend the foam over cotton wool, but whatever works best for you mate?

Those magnets are pretty strong. Try holding the cape edge in place and then cover the bit you don't like with the clip/magnet. they don't need much grip.
It makes it easier to hide the edge.
