And apparently we're the only ones.
Nope, me too. I'm getting my Rambo repaired/replaced simply because it really is the best figure any company has ever released of the character and I'll give credit where credit is due, but after him, no more Enterbay. Even looking at Joker and Batman's in-hand pics makes me question how they'll hold up. The pieces are visually stunning, yet upon close inspection it seems like they haven't quite gotten a grasp on the little things. The finishing. The underlying construction. The seam lines. The rough edges. It's a little unnerving. They look almost like glorified customs, Rambo not as much purely because he doesn't have a lot going on in terms of costume.
Lack of professionalism and unpredictable quality control will keep me away. Hot Toys may have their occasional breakages and out-of-box issues, but not nearly as frequent -- and they're not nearly as boastful about it either.
Bottom line: if you're going to talk the talk, you'd better be able to walk the walk. As long as a company is humble and mature about their practices, I can give them second chances. If, however, they act like they're hot ____ without good reason for doing so and send out dozens of defective products upon launch... well, that's pretty much it for me.
