Beautiful Display attom44. :panic:

It has such an anarchy feel to it.

Im guessing your display case has a glass door.

If it does, wouldn't it be cool to write "WHY SO SERIOUS?" and a smile on it with your wife or girlfriends lipstick (or your mom's if you have neither ).

Absolutely .. screen grabbed it and made it a nice display backdrop for the Detolf...

I sampled the black and then added a lower half to the image extending it down ...image is 14" W X 30" H, I then cloned the exact-o knife shaft down a ways so it looked more natural.. Next I placed a high-pass filter on it in Photoshop to pop/sharpen the whites (lights) and sent it through the Epson printer at work......to finish I mounted it on Black foam core and just stand it up against the glass on the shelf..:)

thanks for the advice:hi5:
nice backdrop can bring out the figure's character even more.
I'm still searching for the posters EB used for their promo pics (the one when joker in the middle of the city & when He in the alley I think)

the purple coat doesnt hang right, and the legs seem unproportionally tall in that video review.

I can't say much about the coat, but the legs are in the right proportion. it's because his suit is so short, so it appears out of proportion :hi5:
still waiting more pics of this joker. I want to see pics of him holding the RPG:impatient:

Rpg as devil points out a few pages back, isnt accurate. Plus, the expression doesn't suit him holding the rpg.

I think the best one so far would be to reenact the scene where he just got out of the truck and holding the machine gun, head tilted.

I think you're right. even EB used that particular backdrop in purpose

The purple coat is perfect when futzed correctly. It's actually quite a beautiful piece.

The only real issue I have with the figure is the possibility of the legs/ankles. Everything is doable but fiddly.

The head sculpt? Well, you either like it or not, but it's still the only Joker head released thus far that actually looks like the Joker. I think it's pretty amazing in hand.

Shoes are fine, laces are ridiculous. Hair sculpting is amazing.
The inner jacket and leather braces are also fantastic.

The metal guns are brilliant. Pity the knife isn't metal as well.
Same as most EB sets, a mixture of brilliance and cheap ____.

i really like the likeness on this figure, much better then hot toys, but when i look at the whole figure, I'm not liking the body proportions to it. legs are looking way too long and in comparisson with the head, the sculpt looks just too small for it.

but this might be also just the pictures...

more pics rory
anyone here know what font similiar to joker's handwriting?
going to work on some diorama while waiting for him:wave

You know what? I had issues with the leg proportions as well from the pics I saw, but honestly (and I would admit it) there just isn't an issue in hand. This figure photographs very oddly. Maybe because it's the first 1/4 scale "human" figure we have seen. I know, I know rambo and T2, but they are very different beasts. Perhaps thats why the videos look so different. All I can say is, the legs are not an issue at all, to me now. Nor the head scale, it all looks pretty perfect proportion wise. We are also used to looking at short assed HT Jokers which are completely out of proportion. Heath was tall and skinny and hung his shoulders forward.

:dunno

I think I mostly agree with ror. But the sculpted shoes are the deal break for me. I had so much hope for these, since the t800 comes with 1/4 leather shoes, mostly metal accs and weapons. And was prepared to sell most of my 1/4 stuffs since I assumed HT and EB are gonna use metal, rooted hair and real fabrics which weren't achievable with 1/6 scale.

But as it seems right now, it looks like they are reserving those methods for future releases as the ones that are out now just seem like an enlarged version of their 1/6 version.

Im in two minds whether to get this guy, already got bats on order with OSB , my only gripe is i wish we got another sculpt with eyes forward and make-up application from another scene.

Completely agree about the lack of rooted hair and leather shoes. Those are my two biggest gripes with this release. It is however still pretty bloody cool. Unlike the proto pics of the 1/4 HT Bats, this doesn't look like a 'blow up" of 1/6th. I think HT really missed the mark there. It's almost impossible to distinguish between the pics of 1/6th and 1/4th. So apart from the admittedly great accesories, whats the point?

I have to say (hair and shoes aside, both of which I may mod) I am very happy to have gotten this Joker. It looks phenomenal standing next to Bats.
