Regardless of when it is released I still would prefer that to this one. I think the HT one will be worth the wait. Maybe some would disagree but I wouldn't pull the trigger on this figure just because of being impatient for the other options being delayed.

Agree completely.

I think the price is a bit high but I'm not going to bag on this. It looks great even though I am getting the Hot Toys version since it is the first film and Weller. I still may get this down the road.

Yes I had heard of the leg problems with Joker, forgot that one. Hadn't heard of the clothes tearing.
I mentioned the long term shoulder problems on the T-800.

Yeah some people that got the Joker had torn clothes, I can see why because the material is paper thin.

To be clear, I wasn't defending Enterbay, just trying to give what I thought was a general breakdown of the 1/4 line so far. I obviously missed a few !
All these companies need to be driven hard to clean up QC by us voting with our wallets.
To be honest it annoys me greatly when I see people here continuing to buy knowing in advance they may have QC issues.

I know you weren't just letting you know that the 1/4 line is known for huge QC problems as well as their 1/6th line.

As I stated (and the same in the 1/4 Bruce Lee thread), I experienced issues on that, and due to Enterbay's response I wouldn't consider purchasing another 1/4 figure from them. I don't care how good it is.

But would you purchase it from say another store locally or on ebay?

And to be clearer, there is simply no way this Robocop won't have a spate of QC issues due to new production materials and electronic wiring. Its guaranteed issues there. The only debate is how wide spread they will be. 1% of 50% ?

And Enterbay's responses will be what they always are = ignore, deny and for huge problems, demand that you send back the whole product ...which for a 1/4 collectible means a large shipping cost - which they won't refund you for.

:exactly:

Not worth it.

I think I've always managed to overlook the enterbay qc issues because to me they make the most realistic figures on the market - I own the BD T800 and Batman and both of them are just works of art in terms of realism.

I agree, they are way more realistic than anything Hot Toys has made but they are poor quality. I am willing to put up with minor QC problems like missing parts, broken weapons because those things can easily be replaced. However, when it comes to the T-800s arms breaking for no reason other than from posing it then I draw the line.

I'm just not feeling it with this one, he looks good but I don't think he's up to £500 standards. It might be the paint what's throwing it off for me it's looking quite toylike and between that, the unwanted accessories and the assumed QC issues I'm just not seeing the value

I know for me it is the paint, even the paint job on the face plates don't look as good as EB Batman Begins ones.

So you are done with EB then?

Yup.
I'm not going to deny I still enjoy seeing the pics others show here of their new releases, but I'm not giving them my money.
I'm not a person of absolutes ...but I honestly can't think of any grail wish list item I'd want enough to break that stance ....

Well I would like to buy that Battle damaged Terminator but from what I have read on here the latest batch is not painted as good as the first batch and the arms can't even hold the grenade launcher without falling down on some figures. :thud:

Yeah, the colour is dissapointing in the previous link. Although, it looks slightly more convincing here :

This is the MONEY shot for me. Still, the paintjob is absolutely boring, simple as any NECA worth $20, plus many detail are off or missing. Can't understand why they takke 2 years in the making and have simplified so many angles and little details.

BTW the Auto9 Holster system is totally off. In the movie, the front plate of the leg moves forward and just the front half of the side armor moves backwards. EB made the front piece static and the side pieces move together backwards. Absolutely inaccurate to all the movies and the series.

I think the reason is that they were focusing most of their attention on gimmicks like sound effects and making this figure move by RC instead of making the figure look as accurate as possible.

Yeah but that mechanism is much too complicated to put into a toy.
