I couldn't care less what other people think of this guy and im certainly not gonna let it sway my decision. It looks like a great representation of robocop regardless of what film its from. It has weller mouthplates. I dont care about 100% accuracy as long as he looks great on display which i know he will, who cares if the chest or shoulders are slightly wrong, you and whoever sees your collection know its robocop. I personally cant wait to get him in my besta.

I think this will be a great looking figure once in hand. Am I the only one here who thinks the body proportion on this is actually very good? :dunno:

to reiterate the members who are buying this figure, i too love this figure. i think it looks absolutely amazing. i for one won't let a simple title designation deter me from buying this, as it's still overall still robocop. it's a definite order for me.

My internal debate continues. The HT one is clearly better (assuming the final product can be as good as the proto) but as Eamon said there's also the consideration of the scale. Do I want Robocop in 1:4 scale aswell as in 1:6? I'm fairly certain this will be the only chance to get one for years to come. On the other hand I also see an opportunity to draw a line and say that I'm only going to collect Terminator at high end 1:4 scale. Buying a high-end Robocop conceivably opens my collector mind to 1:4 scale Predator and Alien (whereas I had hoped to limit those to NECA low-end). Decisions, decisions.

For me, it all comes down to owning the definitive - ideal representation of the character. I would rather have a definitive representation that is smaller than a something that is larger and a little off. However, I would compromise for something Life-Size as that is the ultimate scale. Judging from the comparison pics, the Hot Toys version is my ideal representation of Robocop.

Normally I'd agree with what you say but some of us DO care mate so don't judge others standards against your own eh? Enjoy the piece if you get it I'm sure it'll look very nice :)

I'd defo agree that if Hot toys gives us pretty much what they've shown us, I'll take it in 1/6 over 1/4 all day long.

:huh What are you talking about? Enterbay has produced the best likeness to Ledger and Bale as Batman and the best likeness to Arnold (BD Terminator) as well. Not to mention that all these figures look more realistic than anything Hot Toys has ever produced. This figure doesn't look too bad but this is the first time Hot Toys has beaten them both in accuracy and in realism for the same character. I think EB make the best looking figures overall but they just don't have the quality Hot Toys has.

Enterbay's head sculpting may be over all more accurate but in terms of over all figure quality, you are having a laugh if you think Enterbay beats Hot Toys. Have you compared the EB Batman with the HT Batman? There is a love and care in the Hot Toys DK that is just not there in EB.

I would still take the EB bats over the HT one any day of the week though. Yes, I do own both.

I own both as well. I find that with Batman and the BD T-800, there's just something about EB's figures that look more movie-accurate than HT's stuff. Now with that being said, HT's overall package is much better. EB cheaps out on certain areas, but there's no denying their head sculpts are better.

Oh, absolutely. The amount of accessories and display options on the QS001 are a treat! Attention to detail is outstanding!

EB 1/4 figs are more like statues to me. They just display amazingly and I rarely get to touch them or play with.

I love both!

Same here. But because the damn joints are so stiff trying to change poses requires a lot of time and patience.

I have both too but how can you say that Hot Toys ain't of a higher quality. Just compare the belts. EB's utility belt is held on with a plastic string tie and has no padding on the inside preventing scuffing. The name plates are bearly held on the bases and there is those unsightly mold seems which Hot Toys do not have.

I love Enterbay figures and I totally agree they have a statue quality, but then so so does both HT Endo Skeleton and Dark Knight. I think that's 1:4 in general.

But I think folks are just wrong saying that Hot Toys are not of a higher quality than Enterbay all things considered.

I'm with Eamon here. I think sculpts and portraits are where Enterbay shines. They look terrific. Batman, Terminator, Robo, etc. all the sculpting is very life like.

It's the quality of the product that is garbage though. The construction of their figures are just awful. Batches with varying degrees of quality control problems, broken knees (with the remedy being tape arounds from them), broken shoulders, shoddy rubbery torsos, noticeable mold seams, marks, questionable paint applications, Jerry rigged "fixes", warped parts, etc.

They look nice, no doubt, but if you handle them you're risking breakage. This Robocop is no exception. People are kidding themselves if they think they shouldn't be concerned with issues with that head, chest, holster and body. Enterbay has NEVER done anything like this before, they have a lot to prove.

I'd agree with difabio but I don't think it's all doom and gloom with them. They're coming up to par wi HT but it's the little details which sets HT apart from the other boys and what marks EB down.
